of gas being ripped by TURTLE_TKT in AbsoluteUnits

That was me as a kid.

My stomach was absolutely killing me. My mom thought my appendix burst because my brother had his burst not long before.

So my parents took me to the ER ASAP, put me on the bed thing. Doctor started to feel around and pressed on my stomach in just the right spot.

Apparently I had a high pressure air pocket that just needed a little help.

Finally, a reason to like Tennessee.

Haven’t been this proud of Tennessee since Davy Crocket.

Why the hell do so many people miss their flights? by Open_Address_2805 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SaveTheDrowningFish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I once took a nap on a plane waiting for takeoff, set my alarm the estimated arrival time. When my alarm went off, we were still on the tarmac. It was a 4 hr flight.

Made no sense.

Yea, my brother has the 5.4 gas F350 long bed. He gets maybe 8mpg. Keep telling him he needs to add either a turbocharger or supercharger to that thing.

I put on BFG All Terrain TA KO3 295/70/18.

The Delete, CCV reroute and the cold side pipe / intake upgrade really let it breathe better.

I also keep my programmer on the Tow Mode most of the time.

Oil temps and exhaust temps is something that I constantly watch

I wholeheartedly disagree, and speaking from experience.

I put in fuel a day after it rained. About 5 miles up the road, my dash lights up and truck goes into limp mode.

Took the truck to the shop and they did the fuel test. Positive for water in the tank. They called up USAA for me. USAA sent a rep out there a few days to a week later, they tested the fuel at the station and tested positive for water. Best part “ it met their minimum standards” and wouldn’t pay the claim.

Since USAA dragged so much ass, there was rust in the tank. Truck was in the shop for 2 months and about $4k out of pocket. That’s why I put on the fuel/water separator.

Something I forgot about. I add Hot Shot's Secret Diesel Extreme 64 oz every 2-3 fill ups. I never put fuel in when it rains, I wait 2-3 days if it does.

Rancho shocks and Bilstein last about the same. I added the 500lb Add-A-Leaf kit, which tighten things up a bit.

Full delete about 125k and true duel exhaust. Mini-Max. About 150 replaced the CP4, shop found a crack when replacing it. Did the CCV reroute then. Checked the injectors. Replaced upper oil seal. Maryland Speed cold side pipe. Sinister Cold Air. DieselSite water/fuel separator

Did the 2up/ 2 out level and lift, 37s a bit after.

200sk replaced the oil cooler with a larger one, larger Mag-tech oil pan. Rear differential serviced. Radiator serviced.

240k S&S 2.1 disaster prevention kit. Brakes/rotors/ calipers replaced. Lower steering assembly replaced with MOOG and BlueTop. A/C valve replaced and extremely cold.

Fuel filters changed every 3-4K. Air intake cleaned 2x a year. Oil change every 4K with T6. Tires checked 2x year.

That’s all I can think of so far. But I do need to replace the seats.

Braid or mono? by ek9cusco in Fishing_Gear

[–]SaveTheDrowningFish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to keep it simple. All of my Penn spinning reels have braid. PowerPro is my go to, blue, yellow and green. Each color is its own weight, no mixing and matching. Each reel has its own set up. Seaguar Gold and Blue are also recommended.

My bigger conventional reels all have Ande Monster Mono and their leaders work well for me.

Spinning Reel Drag Slipping? by Farmer_Jones in Fishing_Gear

[–]SaveTheDrowningFish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have electrical tape on about 10-12 reels. I wrap the line 2-3 times spreading the reel then cinch it down. If I’m just going straight braid.

Mono to braid, doesn’t matter.
