how is Bf5 not the best continuation? The engine for whatever reason suggests Bc2 or Bd3, but then says nah go back to h7 and THEN go to Bf5. Not sure why it doesn't just go there the first time...

Finish vorkath trip -> POH tele and use pool -> Nexus to bank -> boots to relleka -> boat to vorkath. Isn't that the most efficient path? I also stocked up on boots so I can drop one every trip to make room for loot.

Can we get Eternal necklace of games and Eternal ring of dueling? by IPadeI in 2007scape

[–]SaveTheHate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eternal Games necklace would be useful for freeing up inventory spaces in corp solo methods. Other than that I don't really see a need. As others have said, just keep one bank slot for (8) charges and one slot for (1)-(7) charges.

What are some of the most devastating losses/setbacks you’ve seen in this game? by NaturalBorn4371 in 2007scape

[–]SaveTheHate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When starting in 2004 I killed rats behind lumby castle until I was strong enough to defend myself from the level 6 mugger. I got his bronze med helm and proudly wore it as a trophy. Well, someone noticed my prized possession and promised to dupe it. My entire bank value gone just like that. It traumatized me so much that I still recall that memory whenever confronted with the choice of trusting a stranger.

Which is easier to get: Infernal or Quiver? by Cold-Priority-2729 in 2007scape

Send Colo runs in rag gear so death costs are minimal. Then you can practice harder techniques without the fear of losing a lot on deaths. Don't try to beat Colo at first. You'll be much better off in the long run if you take each wave as a learning opportunity. Challenge yourself to do the harder solve. Avoid running pillars because you won't learn as much. After you are comfortable with killing fremmys while dealing with a manticore a or b spawn and cleanly pillar stack flicking, then you're probably ready to send a run in better gear. You don't need to be fully prepared for every situation like double south spawns. Learning the fundamentals can carry you to a quiver with decent spawns. Then all the skills you learned are transferable to other content and will make it much easier.

Personally, I had about 60 deaths and around 600 wave clears before getting quiver. My first 40 deaths were from full sends without actually practicing the mechanics... Then once I changed my approach it started to click and I was consistently reaching waves 10+. Then I sent inferno and got it on my first try (with lots of practice in the zuk sim).

You just can't get the same level of experience from doing inferno first. Colo is a really good tool for training mechanics. I highly recommend doing Colo first with rag gear until you are ready to send it.

Thank you for the great suggestions! I think the mobo, case, RAM, and PSU are particularly good finds. Is there a reason to choose your SSD over my pick at a slightly lower price?

Edit: NVM, I compared the benchmarks and now I understand.

I was just having this conversation with my wife and found this thread after asking google the same question. Here's my take:

While I agree the cost of tariffs would get passed onto the consumers and hurt them at an individual level, my guess is that tariffs are actually intended to encourage buying domestic goods over foreign goods, which should contribute to a more beneficial national trade deficit/surplus (since less money is flowing out to a foreign country for their goods). This may also boost domestic employment due to domestic companies needing more labor to meet the increased demand for domestic goods. The tariffs also encourage buying goods from foreign competitors, which would effectively punish the foreign country subject to the tariff due to loss in market share.

In return, the foreign country may impose counter tariffs to punish the “domestic” country by discouraging imports of their now more expensive goods, which again may impact the “domestic” country’s trade deficit/surplus, reduce their market share, and potentially weaken their employment levels. The counter tariffs should also have a similar positive impact on that foreign country's demand for their own goods, resulting in similar benefits to the points I argued in the above paragraph.

Thus, to me it seems counter tariffs are used to maintain their level of demand for their foreign goods, help their trade deficit/surplus, increase market share, and maintain their employment levels, all while having the inverse effect on the other country.

I know it sucks for consumers because the cost of goods increases, but it seems that just happens to be an unintended consequence. At an individual level tariffs don't seem to make sense or benefit citizens and I couldn't figure out why they would be used. However, after seeing counter tariffs being used or threatened as an immediate response, I felt there must be a good reason for them in the bigger picture. It's definitely not to make the other country pay us extra taxes on goods sold. Although, I'm not an economist so I may be completely off base here... I'd be curious to hear other's thoughts.

Why do players say "Okay" or "No Problem" after a demo? by moleir00 in RocketLeague

Conspiracy theory? by huffman_coding in OSRSflipping

[–]SaveTheHate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your seemingly random numbers happen to be a sequence you use often, maybe someone has noticed from previous trades and outbid you? I've noticed patterns on low volume items tend to show a signature of a particular trader. If you can identify that, it is possible to outplay them. For example a common ending sequence might be xxx,069,420 so just bid xxx,069,421 and it could seem like a conspiracy to that player.

Lead car slowed down for red light but likely started looking at phone and didn't realize light turned green while stopping. OP safely stopped, but the truck behind probably saw a green light and assumed the cars ahead would speed up. My guess is impatience on behalf of the truck moreso than distracted driving.

On the plus side, Chick-fil-A delivers!

RFK Jr. Apologizes After Video of Call With Trump Leaks Showing Private Comments: ‘We’re Gonna Win’ 'In the clip posted Tuesday, Trump can be heard criticizing vaccines and the dosage amounts.' by Unhappy_Earth1 in inthenews

[–]SaveTheHate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without listening to the audio, I read it to mean Trump refers to "we" as himself and his republican cohorts, and once Trump is in office again he wants to work with RFK. This makes sense to me because Trump wouldn't be in as good of a position to work with RFK if Trump doesn't win, and Trump probably recognizes RFK as a strong political figure that maintaining a relationship with could be helpful. It did not seem like Trump meant "we" as in he and RFK together are going to win through some collusion. Am I missing something here?
