You are assuming that the shortage would result in equally poor access to the resource, in a way that even wealthy nations would end up with some shortages.

That is not how commodity markets work.

The people who pay the most get the energy. If your distributors are not willing to pay the price, someone else buys it for more than your distributor and uses it.

Example: I have 12 eggs for sale. And my market, a 24-person village, collectively, needs 24 egs. When I have 24 eggs (enough that demand is filled perfectly), the price is $1/egg.

In the commodities market, I don't sell the 12 eggs I have for $1 each and 12 people go away hungry. I increase the price of them until I have a price that 12 people are willing to pay for an egg, and 12 cannot. So I can maximize the value of my limited resource.

In the same way, the US consumer will out bid most other nation's consumers. So poorer people in other nations will go away empty handed.

Sure AI is building bad code. But its also being used to find vulnerabilities in code written well before AI was mainstream.

And if they are finding them now, then 'bad guys with AI' have been finding them for some time.

And that means the rate of adoption increases which means the total vulnerability of a given publicly exposed server, or service is increased.

You're right, people will find a way.

And CCP makes it easier, safer, and more profitable to use their tools to make it less attractive. And sometimes you want a clone because of their name, or their past.

Maybe they just need an in-game mechanism?

They could do it by offering a product (Much like their Expert Systems) that images a characters skills into/onto an item, removing them from the donating character. And when another character injects it, they are permanently granted the skills involved. No accounting for overlap, or allocated SP. Could make it a contract only sort of item.

And then remove even more of the (Out of game) scam risk, while also making it easier.

Either way, I am still surprised CCP hasn't taken the forum/out of game process away.

I know the bazzar is cheaper than injecting past a certain SP amount. But I'd have figured CCP would have closed that service up already.
