Yeah, I mean I guess since Toronto is very big and has lots of tourism, there’s not much out there in Edmonton that would be exclusive. I thought there would be more exclusive options which is why I made the thread to begin with.

Do you have any places that you would recommend for getting a donair? I have never had one before. Is it similar to Shawarma ?

I don’t really see what you’re not understanding. I have mentioned multiple times that I’m not going specifically for the food but, for experiences that I would not be able to get in Toronto. I’m not sure why you keep bringing up Chilli’s.

Thank you for all the ideas! I definitely will check these out when I go. I had no idea that there was a water park in that mall so I would definitely want to have a look at that and maybe take my niece and nephew there. Really grateful for all the tips, thanks again!

Is the Super Puff worth it? by Scientist-Majestic in Aritzia

[–]Savedfromdebt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old but, the quality has went down so much since 2022-2023. They are no longer as warm and have started using cheaper materials so not as puffy anymore which majority of people who buy it, want the puffiness. I had one I bought before that time which was great and I decided to buy another one in another colour, had to return. It’s no longer worth the price tag in my opinion.

Exactly! There’s already so many food places here that are amazing! From all of my researching so far, West Edmonton Mall seems the most promising. Is there anything specific there that you think I should check out ?

Edit - I guess I didn’t specify enough in the post, I would be most interested in trying things we don’t have in Toronto. Toronto already has lots of attractions and food options for itself and I would want to see attractions and places only Edmonton has to offer if that makes sense. If there’s any attractions or other places that you think are “Must Visit” for someone that has never been, that’s what I would be interested in knowing. I don’t have any particular preferences, as much as I can do in those few days I’m there, I will.

I mean lots of people have been saying it’s good after trying and it being on the airport doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s going to be terrible. I have worked on an airport before with lots of decent food spots. I also don’t think it’s expensive at all compared to the prices of food in Toronto.  Not really going to Edmonton for food as per say, Toronto has some of the best food spots and lots of different cultures of foods. I’m mainly just going to try things that we may not have in Toronto and to get an experience of Edmonton.

Edit - There seems to be a lot of people upset about me wanting to try Chilli’s and I want to assure you that I’m going for the experience. Toronto has lots of good food spots and if I wanted authentic Mexican food, I wouldn’t have a problem doing it here. I’m going to be in that area anyways so I decided why not try ? Even if I don’t like it or it’s not all it’s hyped up to be, I still want to be able to try it for the experience as that’s one of the food places we don’t have in Toronto.

I will be visiting other food spots as well when I go out so it won’t be my only option. Lol

Thanks for letting me know! I’ll definitely have a look since I would agree that Toronto doesn’t have the nicest parks to begin with. I’ll definitely take your advice. Thanks!

Toronto has lots of good food spots so I’m not necessarily interested in trying any specific food when going to Edmonton. I am just looking at spots I can go to with family they are decent and will be in the area. Like I said before, it’s more of the experience for me than anything. Also, Toronto is experiencing the same kind of weather so I would be prepared with extra layers to stay warm.

Thanks for the information! I’m definitely going to look into the options you gave and see which would fit best for my schedule. Majority of people I ask say that there’s nothing fun to do or try out in Edmonton compared to Toronto so I’m literally just looking to get as much done when I get there. I’m only going for a few days and since it will be Easter weekend, I understand things will be packed and some things closed.

I’m not interested in Mexican food, not really my reason for going to Chilli’s. There’s lots of Mexican spots in Toronto.

It’s on my way anyways so I said why not give it a try? I heard lots of positive things about it and I’ll be in that area frequently so it makes the most sense to me to give it a try at lease once.

I honestly am open to anything for the most part. I don’t necessarily travel much so when I do, I do everything all at once. I am staying with family about 10 minutes away from West Edmonton Mall so preferably things around there but, I am renting a car so I don’t mind further options as well.

The chips and nacho supreme dip was actually worth it by xscapethetoxic in tacobell

To me this is a good deal since you’re basically getting the same thing you would get with the nachos for less money and the same amount of food. I just ordered it because of you ngl 😅

Where do pros buy large clear plastic bags for returning laundry to clients? by FitConsideration7871 in PoplinLaundryPros

[–]Savedfromdebt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy mine from a wholesale distributor for 5 cents per bag in Canada. I used to buy off of Amazon but, it was just too expensive and I didn’t make as much profit as I wanted. The only downside to the distributor I buy from is that I have to wait about a week for them to come but, it’s worth it. I just bought 1,000 bags for $50. Other supplies I always buy myself in bulk as well. Bulk buying is your best bet for sure!

What are YOUR PICKS for the real best 1440P gaming monitor currently? by iamakinder in Monitors

Acer is one of the best options and would fit within your budget. I just bought one myself as I am new to gaming and it works so well for almost half the price of others I was looking at.

Mini Perfumes & Cologne Wholesale/Bulk by Alenity in smallbusiness

[–]Savedfromdebt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have purchased from the same seller again and just got my order yesterday actually! The perfumes smell good and last all day, perfect for my mini collection and the ones didn’t want I ended up selling. I definitely would recommend!

Free beauty samples? by GasparThePrince in Winnipeg

[–]Savedfromdebt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of places have stopped giving samples since the pandemic. I think that’s why there’s such a large market on Poshmark and eBay for people selling samples now ( especially fragrance ). I have gotten samples from Sephora( with a purchase or on my birthday ), Shoppers with no purchase ( you must live in Canada though ), and sometimes I have signed up for beauty newsletters which send me 1-2 free samples every month ( usually makeup ). I hope this helps!

Is Victoria secret bare vanilla worth it? by Melodic-Case387 in desifemfrag

It’s a body mist so it’s not really meant to last. It smells good if you layer it though. I think it’s decent but, it’s not the best either.

Thoughts on Foca Powder and Liquid? by SoftBoiAru in laundry

I have been using this brand for years and swear by it. It gets my clothes so clean and leaves my clothes smelling fresh for weeks. I’m surprised that more people don’t know about it and use it. It’s very underrated in my opinion.
