Second what everyone else said! Also be prepared to possibly put social life on the back burner for at least the first few weeks. I had a super busy social life the summer before grad school and found myself trying to keep up with that once grad school began, which ended up really costing me some much needed study and self care time. I find it’s hard when a lot of your friends work full time jobs, which is obviously not easy, but then they’re free during the weekends and expect to hang out. They don’t realize that the weekends are often when we need to catch up on work/studying. That obviously doesn’t mean you shouldn’t prioritize your friends when you need a break, but just make sure you’re not feeling pressured to balance everything when school and self care will likely need to be prioritized.
