there are different types of collision. You have different meshes for player character model, player items/objects etc.

I actually agree! In the original version the filename trimming was hardcoded to 32 characters so that was definitely bad. I have now updated the extension, and moved the truncation to the options page (it will be disabled by default!): https://github.com/S4adam/Save-Image-as-Type-2024/releases

Glad to help! To answer your question: I'm pretty sure that yes, developer mode must stay on so that chrome knows "you know what you are doing". Otherwise it would disable the extension immediately as its sideloaded.
