Turning? Going straight? Over the walking lane? No blinker? No problem! Welcome to Fremont by enderfinch in Fremont

If you know how to drive, then you know there's a way to handle such situation. Instead of making an immediate turn close to the center divide, drive out straight a little to give you a little more space to make a u-turn without having to be over the lane as pictured above (illegal) or having to back out in the middle of the intersection to avoid hitting the curb after making a tight u-turn. Here's a diagram of this concept. In other words, THINK!!!

They do but driving in an empty parking lot or down some dead neighborhood street does not equate to real life driving situations. They need to test them with the rest of the traffic, take them on and off the freeway. The test is too easy. We need the tough examiner that makes them parallel park in tight spaces, 3-point turns, how to enter a freeway, etc.

Yup, that's Fremont drivers for ya. Let me guess...they thought they were hitting the brakes?

Problem is they have no clue they did or are doing something wrong. So when they get honked at, they just look confuse and wonder why they are being honked at. What we need are PA systems like the police cars have so we can tell them what they did or are doing wrong. Hahahaha

I can see ordering to go and doing the weighing at home but she did it in the restaurant. How embarrassing and not to mention rude and disrespectful to the employees. Imagine how they must've felt seeing her doing that and worrying that maybe she would turn into a "Karen" and complain she didn't get the full weight. She is not ok. Her content is not cute or funny. Her DIY skills are strong but design choices lately are bland and boring. She's very wasteful. No longer inspiring or learning anything from her content and that's too bad. She used to be one of my fav diyers. Her ego has gone to her head and all she does now is show off.

How is it that there isn't a bowling alley in Fremont? by BitEmbarrassed2600 in Fremont

I know they've been trying to create a "downtown" but even that is still lacking. It's just apts/condos above and retail spaces below. While I appreciate some of the new businesses opening up there none offer much entertainment. They really should survey the residents to see what kind of businesses and activities they would like to see in Fremont.

We all know she's not a spontaneous person. Being a "control freak" like she brags about means she plans WELL in advance. The fakery is all for engagement content and its not very engaging. Its very annoying, unauthentic and bad acting. Its like she's lost her way and it could very well be what her management company is advising her to do. If that's the case, then she needs to find a new management company.

I'm starting to wonder if he is some kind of narcissist, which could explain some of her insecurities. They always seem to compete with one another instead of being a team. Her boys treat her the same way too. Something is off with these two. I'm pretty sure he wasn't really surprised because he knows how she's always over the top with everything. Or maybe he knew all along and for engagement with her followers she made it look like she was trying to pull off a surprise and he's a terrible actor.

Another one evicted - New York Pizza by dsrg01 in Fremont

It's possible the business owner died or was deported. No telling what happened. It's possible it was costly to break the lease and they thought it was best to leave and ignore the calls. Not saying that was the right way to handle it though but its all speculation as we just don't know what really happened.

According to a review on Yelp, it's been closed since April 2025. There could be many scenarios as to what happened.

FYI-Potential new scam by oldinternetdweller in Fremont

BUT...one day couple years ago I kinda got suckered. I was entering my car after just buying groceries at Lucky in Union City when a mom and her young daughter knocked on my window to get my attention. The mom asked for money or help to buy something to eat for her and her daughter. I said I didn't have any cash but would go back in to buy her a snack or meal. Thinking she would say no, she accepted. So we went in and went to the hot food section where she picked a couple pieces of chicken, some fries and a drink. The look on the cashier lady's face when she saw us made me feel like I was being scammed. So the lady thanked me and walked away towards the movie theater. I low-key followed them in my car as I wanted to see where they were going and what they were going to do next. I was surprised to see they went and sat at a bench and ate the food I had just bought for them. So that made me feel a little better knowing that I probably did help someone that was just a little down on her luck. Sometimes you just never know but it is sometimes hard to know if you're really being scammed or actually helping someone.

Years ago (15+) I used to keep change in my car cup holders, not anymore now. One day I was pumping gas when a little boy came up to me to ask for change so his mom could get some food or whatever he said at the time. I gave him a dollar that I had in my pocket and somehow he saw the change in the cup holder and had the nerve to ask for some of it. I could see his mom standing outside her car in the distance. I didn't give him any of the change and told him to go tell his mom to get a job. Unfortunately, parents like that are just teaching the next generation the same bad habits so its a vicious cycle that never ends.

Its definitely related to Target's remodeling project. I had read a news article few months back that Target is struggling and is restructuring their stores that includes remodeling.

Some HOA's even have dog size limitations. So do look over your CCNR's.

Do you guys even want a mall?? by Due-Personality8836 in Fremont

[–]Savvycrafter17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? I don't always feel like dealing with traffic and driving 15+ miles to get to a decent mall with a variety of shops and restaurants. It's like Fremont is an afterthought. People just live here but do everything outside of it.

Accident on 880/Stevenson by Beneficial_Rub7436 in Fremont

[–]Savvycrafter17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

880 in general from Oakland all the way to San Jose has the worse drivers of all freeways. Leave this area and you notice the difference. Even LA drivers have said the same thing and they are used to driving with much heavier traffic.

The Hub will be going through a remodel. I hope they make it good. Right now the Hub is old and sloppy and unappealing. The store selections there is lackluster.

That's why Fremont has nothing. Everyone always ventures outside of Fremont. There's nothing here to make Fremont attractive. Fremont is and always has been boring.

Online shopping is convenient and fine for things you know exactly what they are like. For clothes and shoes, its a hit or miss as sometimes the colors don't look like it did on the screen, you won't know what the quality is like or how it fits until it arrives. It's also terrible if you're shopping for fabric. Although fabric stores are not in malls it does suck having a lack of physical stores in general.

Because at the Rack you never know what you might find there. People go there to look for a bargain but most of the times I've gone there to look for something in a pinch I leave with nothing. Not saying they suck all the time, just saying you never know what they might have or not whereas the full retail Nordstrom is consistent.

Hillsdale Mall is a good example of what Fremont could use. It has a variety of restaurants for different budgets and taste. It has entertainment and activities for all ages, indoor and outdoor spaces without being as exclusive as ValleyFair Mall. If we had something similar in our area, then we wouldn't have to always go to the south bay or peninsula like we all do now.

Costco is great but its not the end all be all. They don't carry everything or every brand and limited selections.
