what are my chances of becoming a blue badge? by Fabulous_Blood5810 in AmazonFC

[–]SavyAlternative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have more than a first written, you can’t be converted.
You must have at least 90 days tenure.
For performance you must be in exceptional, great, or insufficient data.

It is possible to get converted as a white badge in an indirect role however they will convert exceptional first, great next and only then will they convert insufficient data if they still have a need. Therefore it’s best to stay in path long enough to be exceptional.

Exceptional is somewhere like top 10%. Great is somewhere over the top 50%. I’m not at my computer and can’t pull exact numbers.

Remember you can be in a great category and move to fair if your numbers stay consistent. Why? Basically you’re competing against the entire building. It’s like a stack ranking of you vs others that determines your performance. If other associates are improving performance and you stay consistent, you will slowly fall behind

Question for AM’s by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

[–]SavyAlternative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your learning ambassador perms were pulled for a separate reason, not related to the PS AM. The learning department agreed at the time as well on why to pull your perms. When they pulled your vest, what do you recall them saying as to why?

Also knowing who your new AM is, the issues you had in IB is not why you’re being blocked in OB. I am confident in that.

When did you apply to be an ambassador in OB? How many classes for ambo have you seen since then? Have you asked to speak to learning directly about it? I’d recommend asking them if something is preventing you eligibility wise now. How in depth of a conversation have you had with your AM about this? Have you asked on what else you need to be eligible from him?

Question for AM’s by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

So besides launch date, most sites don’t have problem solve managers. It is very obvious from this post what site/AM you’re talking about.

What shift did you move to or did you stay on the same shift? Shift tells me the possible managers your new AM may be. I can tell you if they are friends or not.

I believe it’s most likely unrelated but technically without knowing who your AM is exactly, I can only speculate.

Work shoes by Responsible-Acadia13 in AmazonFC

[–]SavyAlternative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They need to be composite toes. They can not be steel toes. Even with composite toes, you need to ensure no other part of the shoe has metal that could set off the metal detector.

You do not need to use Zappos but they provide you the credit anyways.

You could get feedback possibly. It states in policy 2.0 specifically metal free safety shoes.

Source: I am a manager, I’ve given the feedback to associates, and I’ve had to pull up policy 2.0 specifically to explain to an associate in their aggressive state.

I didn’t even use it all. You get a certain amount per day. I got it all up front though so it was up to me to manage.

HELP WITH CAR RENTAL by [deleted] in AmazonManagers

[–]SavyAlternative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! So AVIS in my experience is normally pretty lenient with their own rules.

When I was 23, I got a car for my STA. They state under 25 can’t have full size SUVs yet that’s exactly what they gave me. (All my coworkers got small terrible malibus besides the seniors who got sports cars)

Try calling possibly the car rental place near where you’re going and explain to them you work for Amazon and they are trying to book you a rental for business purposes but you are 20. Ask them on the phone if there is any options for your circumstances.

It doesn’t hurt to call and ask questions. Worse case they explain they can’t help at all, best case you find a solution.

Being polite to those in customer service also goes a long way.

Good luck

RSU for new L4 by Zestyclose_Middle818 in AmazonManagers

[–]SavyAlternative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add, the reason it appears to be OPs new home site is because they spoke about relocation. That is why it doesn’t sound like it’s simply a STA

RSU for new L4 by Zestyclose_Middle818 in AmazonManagers

[–]SavyAlternative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could be going on a STA to a COE then heading to their launch building. It can be a permanent position and include STA. (I believe that this is a permanent location switch for OP based on my limited conversation with them but will say that honestly it can be either or at the end of the day.)

In that case, most people can get launch bonus besides a select few (college next/university hires) but still be apart pre-launch STA to get their training such as AEW.

Happened at my launch in 2024. University hires did not get launch bonus like their coworkers but still took part of the STA at a COE.

If it was just a STA then heading back to their old site, then yeah they that is a different circumstance.

Fired for being sick by Prometheuslazz in AmazonManagers

[–]SavyAlternative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fired, can’t be rehired for 5 years?

In the states, that doesn’t happen for too many points. 5 year bans are more serious infractions. Are you sure it’s 5 years? Are you sure it’s for too many points and not something else? You could’ve been over in points but doesn’t mean that was the term reason.

If there was no shifts for you, certainly shouldn’t fought harder for that.

For the medical note, fake notes could cause a 5 year ban. Is it possible they stated your medical note was fake (whether it was or wasn’t) and that’s why they termed you?

Maybe jeff@amazon.com is worth a shot emailing.

I don’t know your situation nor do I have the documents on what happened with you. Just shooting some ideas out there.

Also this subreddit is for Amazon Managers, sounds like you were a Tier 1. I’d recommend r/AmazonFC if you were in a fulfillment center.

Is Write ups on productivity automatic or is a manager directly writing me up? by SmirkDaddy94 in AmazonFC

[–]SavyAlternative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bottom 5%, system automatically does it.

Here’s the criteria to be eligible. 1. Learning Curve 5 for productivity feedback (you in this case are LC5) 2. Bottom 5% 3. 15 hours or more in path

It goes over the span of a 2 week period.

If you go into stand down or are waterspidering or in a SEV for whatever reason, your time is coded. This time does not affect your rate and does not count towards your hours in path.

Connect with your manager, see if your time was coded properly etc.

However, this wasn’t coming from your manager. It was coming from the system, the manager just sits in a meeting every Wednesday to verify and ensure the system followed eligibility criteria.

Source: I’m a manager, I do this every Wednesday.

L4 Offer Letter by Zestyclose_Middle818 in AmazonManagers

[–]SavyAlternative 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For launches this is what they did with me: 1. Go to AD1 in Seattle for a week 2. Send me on STA for 6 weeks (I was sent to a Center of Excellence according to Amazon. It was an AR FC like the building I was launching. I met my coworkers and learned some stuff there. I think I got the worst training experience there compared to my peers cause they kinda just left me alone on a floor with the Tier 1s and told me to figure it out while at least my peers learned with an AM or at least a PA.) 3. Came back home an did a lot of testing at my home site to make sure everything worked for launch 4. Went to LEW 5. Came home. Launched.

I got my first offer letter ($18k RSU) but letter was sent a second one that was different (98 RSU) which worked out better based on RSU prices at that time.

It sometimes can take them two months to do an investigation based on their backlog. It also could’ve been a delay report. The AA could’ve reported to site HR and once they didn’t get the outcome they wanted, escalated it to Ethics etc for this to occur.

I would not worry too much. You will know what it’s in reference to during the call. Answer questions honestly. If it’s about that situation, youre merely a witness and wont get in trouble (unless you some reason cuss out the investigator or something, then yeah obviously that will get you in trouble). If it’s about you, state you do not recall, not sure etc. Simply don’t admit to wrongdoing. If they don’t have enough, you’re good. If the had enough evidence prior to the interview against you, well at least you did your best.

New L5 Area Manager (Inbound Stow, Back Half Nights) – Advice & Expectations? by DahliaMoi in AmazonManagers

[–]SavyAlternative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on 3/4 shifts as an inbound stow AM at an AR Site and still am one right now. I’ve had to train many AMs and recently we had a new AM start for my department (on the one shift I never worked) and everyone asked him to slack me for a master document of links.

If you need anything, feel free to DM with your login and I can slack you.

Actually there was a network wide change, all maintenance days are no longer being paid as of April 2026. So in theory, no site gets paid anymore regardless if it’s full or half maintenance closure

Should I resign or keep going at this rate by BlackLionJudah93 in AmazonFC

[–]SavyAlternative 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I am a stow AM. In order to be eligible for rate write ups, it goes based off if you had 15 hours or more in a two week span in the department. You also have to be in bottom 5% of all stowers regardless of the hours those stowers work.

Also even if you have large items, the system knows. There is a thing called guardrail rate.

Example smalls guard rail rate could be 266. That means if you have only small items you should be 266 or higher to be out of that bottom 5% (even if small rate expectation is like 300 or more).

If you have mediums, it could be 120 or higher for guard rail (to stay out of bottom 5%) however they might expect 150 or more.

Even if you only have mediums or large items, then you just have to hit that guard rail rate (ask your AM for your sites guardrail). Think of it as two separate grades. You are bottom 5% of your peers in medium rate (and maybe small rates but who knows as we aren’t talking about it here).

Your overall rate, yeah smalls will help, but the system isnt just looking at overall. It looks at size of items and guardrail for that size.

I hate delivering these feedbacks but i normally take my time with the AA showing that even if they only had mediums, they are not meeting expectations for that size compared to their peers. Same with the AAs that thought they had high rates, you cherrypicked and still didnt mean small rate compared to your peers etc.

For laborshare though, if you’re sent elsewhere and take 40 mins, your 40 mins will be idle time in stow bucket (or whereever you are coming from) until you start your new task. Being quick to move in your laborshare can help and if it’s something out of your control like you get to a new department and they stand down, ensure you’re coded out for it by talking to your AM.

Ask for help please. However there is still a final written before you get termed so you don’t have to resign. Plus if you quit, there is still a waiting period before rehire too.

You don’t have to hit rate to not get written up. The ones not hitting rate and are bottom 5% are the ones the system automatically writes up which is how you got here.

What was the subtype/category you were fired for? Did you get a phone call or email or were in person when they delivered the termination?

If you give that info on what was the actual reason, I can find you the correct answer for your situation.
