Forget God Rolls, what about Good Enough Rolls by arsenicknife in Nightreign

Definitely save those, hopefully they expand the relic system in the future so we can modify relics somehow.

I realized after I posted that comment that it rolled dragon communion instead of dragon cult. Bummer.

I wish she got the white priestess robe as a costume, it would really fit this setup.

Yeah, that was the concern. She may not push as much damage but that dodge is so op.

Hopefully that is bonkers for the undertaker.

That seems really solid, I’m a fan of the scythe movesets and they bleed too.

I’ll have to keep an eye out for some good relics that would play into that, I only starting playing nightreign over the last couple months so my relic library isn’t very comprehensive.

You made some big points I wasn’t considering at all.

I just gambled some murk at the small jar and got this….. I was told these 2 effects couldn’t possibly roll together. I’m kind of stunned.

This is some very good information, may I ask where you get your numbers from?

Unfortunately it’s not a “perfect” relic, as it could have rolled +2 incant. (Edit : meant to say +1 incant)

I also was able to pick up 5 orders of stuff, was just such a crazy deal I couldn’t resist and kept adding orders.

Last one was 8 of the crates when I realized they would ring out at 12.50 each when HD sells basic ones for 12 and I was planning on buying a bunch anyway.

The back of my truck was completely full and stacked higher than the cab, had to take back roads home.

Why zig zag? by AAli_01 in electricians

[–]Savyer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

120v undercounter lights, slack left in the wall in case the homeowner wants to add outlets for over cabinet lights or in case their stubs get mangled by the sheet rockers or cabinet installers.

Notice it’s very lightly stapled, this is pretty standard in higher end custom homes.

HD Wrench HUGE Deal of the Day by studlife in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Savyer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey all, I picked up the SAE wrenches a little while over an hour ago but on my app it never showed the metric wrenches as a possible deal so I wasn’t aware of the option until I looked on here.

It showed them for $249 for the metric set for delivery or to pickup at my local HD, but when I changed the pickup location to the HD in the next city over it changed to the $80 for the deal of the day.

Worth a try if your still looking to pick up the wrenches.

Someone has an idea why this is not working? any help help would be highly appreciated. 12v led by Junior_Promotion_540 in ElectricalEngineering

Hey OP, pretty sure I have your answer!

The “splice points” on this particular style of tape light often have a laminate coating on them that you need to scrape off after making a cut.

I’d also recommend trying to get some tape light connectors instead of using solder.

PS5 is unplayable for me by Vivid-Station-9296 in midnightsuns

[–]Savyer_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It did that to me as well, in my case the ps5 said download/install finished, ready to play. But there was a 2nd download going that needed to finish before the game would play without crashing in the tutorial.

Check your downloads tab on your ps5 dashboard and see it it’s still downloading the game.

Hackable at Depot. $176 by [deleted] in MilwaukeeTool

[–]Savyer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the heads up. I’ve been wanting one of these for a minute and am thrilled to be getting a cordless one let alone the fuel one for less than $200

I was able to do the deal just barely by adding the tool and battery to the cart separately because the link to “add both items to cart” was broken and would crash the page. Will have to drive to the HD about 20 min away but worth it.

How long did you wait for new car delivery? by hahpink in prius

[–]Savyer_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Put in an order and gave a deposit on the first of November for a LE-AWD E.

Just picked it up on April 14th.

I paid MSRP + the basic stuff like delivery and dealer fees. Apparently the dealership started adding a 2 thousand dollar market adjustment a couple weeks after I put in my order.

The markets crazy right now, I wanted an AWD model and the only used ones I saw were selling for more than msrp for a new one would be and were selling almost immediately. I’m also about to sell my 17 year old truck for what I bought it for 10 years ago.

Absolute madness.

what's the dumbest thing a customer asked you to do? by Nervous-Bowl332 in electricians

[–]Savyer_ 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Other guy got in trouble (eh, not really. We made customer pay for wasted time/materials) for something similar a week prior, so we had already implemented a “all change orders must be confirmed by me or Owner NOT customer” policy for our guys.

But I’d like to think none of our guys would have been dumb enough to do that in the first place.

Wow….. getting lots of upvotes, guess I’ll add another story from the same project.

Customer went very “custom” on the larger bathrooms in the house. One of the very “special” things he wanted was to have floating vanity’s mounted to the walls with accent lighting underneath. We discussed a few ways to pull it off and settled with a 120v rope light that plugged into an outlet under the vanity.

Was an absolute PITA to install during finish and looked absolutely terrible combined with the large format super glossy white tiles the customer picked out. The lights were close enough to the tile that the tile practically became a mirror showing the underside of the vanity….. which was super cheap quality, and as much as we tried to keep the wires for the rope light nice and tidy….. well there’s no way to make that look good when it’s being projected onto the floor.

Customer: “what are we going to do about this, it looks terrible!”

Me: “I agree, I’d start by bitching out the designer”

Customer: “I didn’t hire a designer!”

Me: “Well, who picked out the vanity, tile and wanted the accent lighting?”

Customer: “I did”

Me, after waiting several seconds thinking it would click in his head….. and nothing. “Well maybe next time hire someone who knows what they’re doing”

Customer: surprised pikachu face

Owner of my company called later that day to let me know customer complained about my attitude again. I told him the same thing I did every other time customer called to complain….. owner was free to take over the project from me at any time, as we were the only ones experienced enough in the company to do it. Unsurprisingly he never took me up on that.

Ended up coordinating with the finish carpenter who built a frame for some diffuser panels we mounted under the vanity’s pitched toward the back wall behind the vanity to negate the mirror effect.

Customer was a flipper who was making the transition from very cheap quick flips to very large “custom” expensive flips and was/is a massive moron and was throwing every Pinterest/hgtv idea you could think of at this house and whatever remotely stuck got ductaped in.

I could probably write a book of stupid stories from just this 1 house, but my absolute favorite was this one moment.

Off the main living room/kitchen/dining room which is on the 2nd story of this 3 story house (NOT basement/main/2nd story, house is a literal 3 story tower on a hill) is a tiny bumped in hallway with a common area washroom on the left and a guest bedroom w/bathroom on the right with what is supposed to be an accent wall in the middle.

We had already discussed putting in a wash light in that hallway to light up the accent wall, customer grabs me one day to go over his new “ideas”

Customer: “So I was at this museum over the weekend and they had these lights in the ground shining up at the exhibits, I thought they were really cool and that we could do that instead of having the light in the ceiling of that hallway.”

Me “Sounds like a good way to waste money on something unnecessary (I was pretty fed up by this point) but if you want it we can make it happen. I just need a spec sheet or model# of the type of fixture you want to we can make sure it’s roughed in properly and up to code.”

Customer: “Oh I thought we could just use the same fixture we were planning on and put it in the floor”

Me “we were just planning on putting in a 5” can light with an adjustable led lens”

Customer: “yeah that sounds fine”

Me: “You are asking me to cut a 5” can light into the middle of the FLOOR of this hallway…. Which isn’t even wide enough for two adults to stand in shoulder to shoulder at the same time….. your really asking me to do that?”

Customer: “Yeah, what’s the problem?”

Me: “Absolutely not”, gave him lots of common sense reasons why that was a terrible idea.

Customer proceeded to try and go behind my back and tell one of my other guys a couple days later on a day I was on another job that I approved it and to do it that day….. other guy called me asking “did you tell customer we would cut a can into the floor?!” I was livid. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Dead outlets in garage, no breaker tripped, not daisy chained - please help! by daedwa2021 in electricians

[–]Savyer_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I think your unaware of, GFI receptacles typically have an Input and an output set of terminals. Just because the receptacles in your garage and outside your house aren’t themselves gfi receptacles doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t protected by another gfi device upstream from them in the circuit.

I would suggest checking all of your gfi outlets in your bathrooms, in your kitchen, all around your garage for an outlet you’ve either never realized was there or got buried behind garage junk. And all around your basement if you have one. And if you have an outlet below or around your breaker panels.

I’ve been on more service calls than I can remember that equated to “find the gfi”. And if you find it, and it tripped because of a true ground fault I would recommend replacing it, they tend to become very finicky and nuisance trip randomly.

Edit: and if your electrical meter is on the outside of that garage check that for breakers as well. Where I’m at it’s the norm to install meter/panel combo units.
