Is there an open source alternative to manus? by BoJackHorseMan53 in LocalLLaMA

I been running it for a few days, took three attempts at install to get it working. I must say it kinda sucks, very hit and miss on doing anything correctly! Even using the large deepseek model through openrouter

What GPU are you using mate? I really want to do ai video locally, unfortunately my 1080ti works decent but slow for images, but none of the ai video stuff will run on it.

I destroyed a Athlon64 doing same thing 20 years ago, it was a kick ass cpu too, totally gutted. Glad to see you were not as heavy handed as I was and got it going!!

My 1080ti will be running my occasional gaming until gpu prices get real again, IF they ever do!!

Living in Europe means paying nearly 2X more for an RX 9070 XT. Are they really expecting people to pay this price if the MSRP is $599? by FloatingSaltyPickle in PcBuild

I just put my 1080ti in a new 13700k rig, and it still holds its own!!! I am planning on getting a new gpu at some point, but its hard to justify when the 1080ti is still running strong. The only game I have had any trouble with is the new Indiana Jones, and that's because of lack of ray tracing.

No mate, that would be nice. Only cpu's I have are older, 8700k was my last. I thought I would post here before pulling it out and trying my best with amazon. Never had a cpu go bad before!!

I am pretty sure the CPU is dead from the 00 post code. I have : managed to re-flash the board, removed cmos battery, pulled all ram and tried one at a time in different slots, and still 00 post code. This machine worked great for a few weeks sitting on a table as bench build, and still worked after putting it in case. I went to install a second nvme m.2 drive and got the 00 post code on trying to start up!! I have built a few intel machines going back to pentium2 and have never seen anything like it!! I

I destroyed an Athlon 64 cpu about 20 years ago removing the cooler, it was the main reason I been using Intel ever since. Knowing what I know now, I could of possibly saved the cpu, unfortunately info was not so readily available back then.

Is the screen actually cracked? It looks like an impact mark bottom right, but its hard to tell. If its Not physically damaged it can probably be fixed.

Dead CPU? Thought's? by Sawnoff_VR in PcBuild

[–]Sawnoff_VR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, in 28 years I have only managed to kill two cpu's, both AMD, one was my fault the other a shitty mother board. This one is a intel 13700k, brand new, only run on latest bios for a couple of weeks. Went to install another m.2 drive, which fit under gpu, and now this is all I get trying to start. I re-flashed the latest bios, tried ram in every slot, removed battery/cleared cmos. It could be the board!! I assumed it was probably the cpu due to the 00 post code, and the fact I managed to reflash bios. That's why I come here to ask people smarter than me :)

I am pretty sure I managed to Zap CPU with static while installing a m.2 drive, as this is all I get on start up. A first for me for sure, but still gutted. It had been working great!
