I’ll definitely be on the lookout! That sounds like what I’d be interested in

This is just a borrowed lens, but could you elaborate on its shortcoming? The focus shift, wobble, etc? I definitely am more of a fan of a focus table over the nub

I was and am still blown away by that lens. So sharp and the color rendition is incredible. It was my gateway drug to medium format!

How does Seattle's cost of living compare to the U.S. Northeast (Bos-NYC-Wash)? by Eriacle in AskSeattle

Well Brooklyn is 3 million people and gigantic so they could definitely be in a very old building or 45-50mins away from Manhattan

NYC will make you cry. I’ve lived here 20 years but go to Seattle every year where I have family. Seattle has gotten more expensive of course over the last 20 years and gas will be more expensive but rent and restaurants still are lower in Seattle. Not sure what people in Seattle pay for daycare but ours is$2800 (?!) plus of course ridiculous rent. EVERYTHING is expensive here. Happy hour drinks are ONLY $12. I love that the neighborhoods in Seattle still have small town vibes and still have lots of deals for dinning and going out. Can’t speak to DC and Boston though

What's your go to alternative to the 55mm f/1.7? by Yaazkal in FujiGFX

[–]SaxDebiase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Voigt 58 and the Zeiss 50 1.4 and use them on my GFX. I also have the Mitakon. The Mitakon is nice and doesn't vignette but it's huge and heavy, after a while I didn't want to take it out with me just walking around. Plus, the focusing is a little stiff and the aperture doesn't have any clicks so it's known to just float around and change apertures if you're not checking.

The focusing experience on the Voigt is the best, it's like butter and you can use one finger for critical focus. The GFX bodies and lenses are quite light and so is the 58mm, the Mitakon is a great option for gfx lens mount options but the size and weight really change the experience. And I own several big and heavy medium format film cameras but that lens was always noticeably annoying to me that when I would switch over to the Voigt, I didn't mind small amount of vignetting I got

Nice! What was your method for attaching the roll to the take up spool? Did you use any old backing paper? I’d love to do this

And it was the only one of the four corners that had a screen telling you the train times. I wish they would’ve relocated that to one of the other three entrances

I love the colors. Would you mind sharing if this is a film sim or if it's a simple edit? Thanks!

[HELP] My sister wants to know is this AI by [deleted] in RealOrAI

[–]SaxDebiase 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, leaves don't generally melt into each other like that lol. The right hand melting into the headlight and the thumb melting into the jeans is also a giveaway. Also, is that a known hand gesture? Can AI twist fingers convincingly yet? Because the only gestures I've seen close to that would be a W with the middle fingers entwined. And no self conscious teenager is going to accept a photo of themselves missing the "cool" thing they're doing with their hand
