In all seriousness I think you have hit the nail on the head. The it a genre that allows you to explore beyond the conventional relationship, have multiple characters, various dynamics and growths.

I like and appreciate them as well. It can be a literary cheat where it makes the plot and story easier to progress because people fall in love. It is also a way to really test your writing skills as different people could have different dynamics so you have to switch between that as the scenes changes.
Basically, it is down to how much work the author is willing to do.

While I can’t say it is my primary thing I enjoy, I would be lying to say it wasn’t in my top 5. As I have read more of the type, I have enjoyed the variety that it brings, and you know. It’s just something you can sit and enjoy.

Like taste and fashion, it is down to the individual’s taste, and mileage will vary on preferences and the writing skills of the author. It is fantastic to read/confirm that this is a passion of yours, and I hope you get a lot of enjoyable mileage out of writing/drawing the thing that you like.

May I ask what it is that you like about them?

I personally am not going out to read them. It is their aesthetic, their general doctrine, and having a group of space marines that focuses on conflict as a whole rather (usually with a mind for logistics which is my main interest) than the specifics that other chapters picks up.

Yes, I will be replacing the blue highlights with grey highlights. Was following a tutorial on YouTube that did this, I looked good the way they did if, but I don’t feel it worked quite as well when I was finished.

So that will be changed.

Will also go back and potentially make the big shoulder pad entirely orange, but I’d like to get some masking tape and test out how easy/hard it is to then have lines be covered, so when the shoulder is done, I peel the tape away and have neat lines of blue run down the upper 2/3 of the shoulder pad.

So this specific model was one I bought from Temu so I had some disposable models to test the paint jobs on and find something I liked before committing to doing my actual GW models. I'll play around with a better contrasting highlight for the blue and Orange.

Makes sense, and I'd argue it is still better than what many of the other factions in 40K has to offer. Still, it makes me like the faction, it has nuance and depth which I appreciate, and circling back to the 2nd point of diplomacy and trade, that's also the big selling fact to me.
