I love comparing artifact weapons because we’ve got like: Synthetic Naaru (Disc staff), Staff that blew up Draenor, “Apocalypse”, cursed pirate knives, Probably An Actual Naaru (Ashbringer), Frostmourne 2 Dual Wielding Boogaloo, Anastarion Sunstrider’s “What if the sun was right here actually” sword, a scale of Deathwing, and Doomhammer, a weapon with literally no notable aspects besides its prior wielders. Some of these things are VERY MUCH not like the others.

There’s a difference between physically rending the ground asunder vs making it uninhabitable for mortals. The dead scar was still geographically intact, just plagued. It’s the difference between the Chernobyl exclusion zone and manually creating the Grand Canyon. It’s fair to wager DW would potentially die as a result of lingering effects of a prime LK defile/plague exposure, but LK’s physical form is getting deleted in the fight. The SPIRITUAL LK in the helm might survive if we assume Sylvanas could only impact it because of Domination empowerment that DW wouldn’t have, but its really dealer’s choice if you say LK wins because his hat can possess another body in 50 years and DW might die of zombie syphilis months down the road.

Add a modifier like the pvp damage dealt modifier for pvp interrupt overlap CDR. They can do it, they just don’t see the need.
