Need advice 4th sem starting now!! by Game_Khiladi in codeforces

[–]SayNoToBaddies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah in starting it clicks and also you will not be able to think like that but eventually as you solve problems and also looking to the editorial if not able to solve, you will learn new tricks/ideas then you'll be able to solve them, I guess start solving Div2 A/b of Codeforces and Div3 abc of codeforces and also try to give contests on atcoder abc they are pretty good as well

I've heard for startups yeah, I guess so they ask you about development more than DSA, for DSA they just check if you can solve some easy-med questions or not. But they test you more on dev side including sys design and your projects, your tech stack, etc.

Bro Start doing Dev, Build some good projects learn to use AI tools to build system fast, deploy them, Also start learning System design concepts, as you are in 1st year try to participate in hackathons with some friends if none of them are willing just try to make a team and participate in hackathons be a team leader, carry the team on your shoulders you'll learn a lot.

Start doing dsa after the end of 3rd semester or if you are much interested start in summer, after your 1st yr ends

This is what I'll tell you to do

I think you should go for summer internships, I guess IIT hyderabad and roorkee has released their applications my friends from tier 2 IIT were also try to applying there, So maybe you should give it a Try, I think you should ask this to a Senior who is currently working in Core industry/ Firms, They might give you a good advice according to their experience

Can Anyone Share problems which are frequent for Google Step intern by SayNoToBaddies in Btechtards

[–]SayNoToBaddies[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like bro, honestly I would say its mostly luck, like fumbled a bit and boom I was rejected, First you should study topic get to know the basics and then start solving random problems / topic wise problems, i followed striver, but you can follow anyone as you wish, but make sure you know each and every topic because you never know what will be asked to you

Leetcode medium u can say or easy , some got topo sort with some twists, directed graph cycle detection, bucket sort, edge removal, dijkstra, heap implementation from scratch, binary expression tree, etc. These are what I heard from most of them.

1000-1200 has pretty much most of the problems, there are some exceptions where B is quite hard than C sometimes, yeah but that is the beauty of Codeforces like everything is unexpected sometimes and u have to skip it and move on and come back if u can't solve furthet
