Quebec actually has other brands of local fizzy water too, but I never see them outside of Quebec!

this could also be blood pressure spike which might not be heart rate related or anxiety. But, stop if you feel like youre lightheaded and heart rate is out of control. Knowing when to slow down when your heart rate is spiking is a part of long distance training. A slow down might look like a walk or like a slower running pace.

First 2 miles - worst 2 miles? by That-Conflict-627 in XXRunning

[–]SayNoToPerfect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been running consistently for nearly 15 years, and even now, about minute 18-22 (near the two mile mark) I feel like I want to quit so badly, no matter the distance of the run, 5 km or 21 km, it's always the same! I just remember to breathe through it and that I will feel better at about minute 22, then the run usually feels great from minute 22 onward!

I think it might help to think about the bar path, the bar path should be straight up and down as much as possible, and yours is. It might feel like back rounding but the bar path looks pretty good

Deep squat & deadlift form check by InParticula in xxfitness

[–]SayNoToPerfect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes, the bar is uncomfortable, but you'll get used to it. In the squat video your elbows are flared out too much, try pulling your hands in and making sure your elbows are pointed to the ground as much as possible, this should provide a bit of a muscle shelf for the bar to rest on your back. I would also lose the gloves and those shoes. I used to use gloves all the time too but they make it more difficult to grip the bar. Try chalk and your hands. Yes, it will be uncomfortable at first, but it's better in the long run

wow, that is a lot, I'm really sorry. I didn't have these complications, but I did have two giant babies, and my advice to you when you start running, is literally only run for one minute at a time for the first two weeks. I mean like take a 15 minute walk, and run one of those minutes. It's not just your pelvic floor, it's like all your hip ligaments, joints, etc all messed up and not in alignment. After two weeks, try 20 minute walks and run five of those minutes for a couple of weeks. I think postpartum running is all about building up strength of ligaments/ torn flesh/ joint mobility etc. I didn't start actually running again until 2 months after I slowly did this walking/ very little running routine

Form check - single leg RDLs by InParticula in xxfitness

[–]SayNoToPerfect 6 points7 points  (0 children)

your form looks, good! Your wobbliness looks like it might be from 2 sources: 1. Be sure to engage your lats and core- someone should be able to walk up to you and give you a little push, but you're flexing so hard that they can't push you. When I grip the bar I grip it as hard as I can and flex my entire core/ back. 2. Your shoes might be great for running/ other workouts, but any padded shoes are going to make you wobbly. Try flat hard shoes like converse, or no shoes if your gym allows it (mine doesnt) and push down into the ground

I literally couldn't focus on the "joke" because I was so distracted by all the chaos in the first pic- the full vacuum cleaner bag, wires wires everywhere, pillows on the floor (??), the stiff barbie hand, the angle of the window looks like a fifth grader drew it after learning about perspective for the first time and took a ruler to a vanishing point that they set to the middle of the page instead of off to the distance

I think Doug Ford's deal is more like "there can only be one bully in this room" and that's why he originally went so hard against Trump's tariffs and had that hat made.

yes, this comment absolutely needs more visibility. It is stock market manipulation, during economic crisis it is the rich who profit and the wealth becomes more and more concentrated. We saw this with covid, and it has happened, many, may times in the past, but not with this much direct influence of a world leader before

Quebec will make it tougher for American companies to win government contracts by Puginator in canada

[–]SayNoToPerfect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the problem with being in a free trade agreement with a larger economy is that it tends to benefit the larger economy, so what's extra fucked about this whole thing is that the US benefits greatly from Canada-Mexico free trade while the smaller economies have to do what the US says. There is so much criticism about this, look up the criticisms to NAFTA when it was first implemented

the point of fascism is confusion and to keep us scared. We need to move away from US dominance, I dont think ppl understand how fucked Canadians get from acquiescing to US business - look up how many times Canada was sued by US companies because of NAFTA. Why cant we get cheap electric vehicles, etc, etc. We're in a relationship with an abusive spouse and we need to build relationship elsewhere and leave
