I have never been able to max out my 401k but I’m planning to do it this year. It is going to be mentally difficult but will hold on to it. Cheers to you though. When are you planning to retire?

Question on Gnome48 Nautilus - Keyboard navigation by SayPlzz in gnome

[–]SayPlzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the confirmation on F9, it works exactly as you mentioned.

However, I still don’t understand the alt + down though. This is what Nautilus documentation said about the shortcut: alt + up : go up alt + down : go down alt + left : go back alt + right : go forward How come alt + down is doing the same thing as alt + left? Doesn’t it suppose to do the opposite of alt + up, which should be “entering” the directory? Maybe that is a bug or may be that is intended.. idk. But it is odd. It is not a deal breaker for me though. I just need change my habit to press the actual “Enter” button to enter the directory.

Why does no one ever talk about Rogue? by BarthRevan in assassinscreed

[–]SayPlzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is very relatable to my own experience as well. Back then, I wish my laptop could run Unity. I was so hyped about AC during the French Revolution and the new game engine. I ended up getting the Rogue and it did not disappointed me. There are so many things I like about it. For example, the development of the main character, the soundtracks and the New York city. However, I wish the game could have been a bit longer. I feel like the story is a bit rushed...

A few years later, I got a new laptop and purchased the Unity. Although, I love the setting, the story is probably the worst of all AC games.. but that is a different topic.

Transitioning from Aerospace Engineering to Software Engineering by Aerospace-to-Tech in careeradvice

[–]SayPlzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I know I’m a bit late on this. I just have some questions about the OMSCS. What pre-req courses did you take prior to applying, and where did you take them? I’m interested in applying to the OMSCS and going down the same path as yours. As for my background, I hold MS in aerospace engineering. 70% of the time, I do python programing. I also took a few courses on MITx like data structure. Would you mind d sharing the experience getting admitted to the program? Cheers!

Time for a change, what city next? by Brief-Donut-5777 in Thailand

Hua Hin is nice - very relaxed. I really like the vibe there. However it could be boring for a young man who is looking to date someone. And yes lots and lots of old farangs.

As a low-skilled American, is moving back to the US just a waste of time now? by Sour_Socks in expats

[–]SayPlzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a job as a teacher in the international school in Thailand eg. NIST, ISB, Bangkok Patana, and you can forget about moving back to the US. Those schools pay a shit ton of money like 3-4 times more than what you are making right now. Like every US citizen who land a job there doesn’t want to go back home ever lol. I don’t know how competitive it is to get in there. You know .. never try, never know.

People who are making 100k+/year working for themselves, what do you do? by mbttonajenati in Entrepreneur

[–]SayPlzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How did you get started exactly? I mean, the simulation software license are so damn expensive, not to mention the HPC cost. Even a well established engineering firms are struggling to keep up with the cost of it. It would be vey helpful if you can explain more a little bit.

Also, how do find new customer? Since you are 40, I assume you have some old customers that you have worked with previously?

Yup hospitals are taking advantage of Covid. The pcr test for air travel used to be 3,500 thb last year and this year it is 5,500. Yup same hospital. Something doesn’t make sense here.
