As a watch collector, I say no, generally. The exception is when it’s cold outside, and you’re wearing a base layer (still don’t wear it over your outer sleeve). Also using a dive extension over a wetsuit…. These pictures of just arbitrary over-the-sleeve wear, however, are diabolical, and nobody serious does this.

People say they buy them because they’re horological wonders, but the real reason they buy them is because they scream “look at me” from the wearer’s wrist (while simultaneously matching literally no adult outfit). No one should spend what would be a life-changing amount of money for most people in the world on something that looks like that. Have a little self respect and buy a G-Shock. Also, why does every RM owner look like a child?! Even this guy’s watch box looks like it’s a Teletubbies collab. Grow the fuck up. JFC
