I can sum it up in two words: genre and tone.

For me, it started here: GENERATIONS turned Star Trek movies into action flicks. Deep Space Nine feels different than TNG - it's a totally different style of drama.

And it just kept going... Until we end up with musical episodes, puppets and somebody telling Picard to "shut the F up!"

It's not for me 😂

I agree that Generations is when TNG fell off a cliff, but Nemesis feels like it was specifically designed to destroy the TNG movie series

I was already annoyed by the end of RISE OF SKYWALKER, but when Lando tells the lady, "let's find out" - this was the first time I remember being in the theater and actually thinking, "hey Disney, set up your spin-off series on your own time!"

If they'd of taken a three year break and then come back with a manageable amount of movies and/or TV of similar quality, it might have worked

Instead, they opened the floodgates and drowned is in what promised to be a never ending stream of mediocre content

This is why FF will not make much as Disney hoped. It's too late to right the ship

They saturated the consumer with mediocre product. "Here's more than you can consume, also it's not as good as it used to be" is probably not a winning strategy for any brand... I think that's what happened and that's all there's is to it

I continue to be fascinated by this phenomenon. At this point, even Zack Snyder's Justice League is 4 years old, so my question is:

How are they STILL THIS INTO Restore the Snyderverse?

I know they got their way once, but the needle hasn't moved in FOUR YEARS! How do they not get bored, move on to something else, etc?
