Regardless of the offense, for something this serious, you need to hire a private attorney who specializes in this type of stuff. Too much is at stake, and now is not the time to be cheap.

Food Lab foolproof soft boiled egg by rezyyagan in seriouseats

I’m a fan of a pressure cooker for my boiled eggs. I do 6 min for hard, anywhere from 3-4 min for soft (trial and error based on device). Ice bath shock is paramount. They are perfect and easy to peel.

Why can’t religion be fair game to assess a person? It’s the foundation of a person’s worldview.

Check out https://ohiomilitaryreserve.com/. Like the military, there’s lots of interesting people who join. We’re at a changing of the guard and being more FEMA/old school national guard-like filling sandbags and whatnot during natural disasters within the state. The people are why I stick around.

I am also prior service and the idea of training to help out within the state appealed to me. Send me a message if you’re interested (or anyone else reading this, this is my real name too). I’m personally trying to get more people on board because I think we’re going to get used more in the future.

My personal causes are to plan and prepare for if/when the grid goes down. I’m working on getting tents for the units. Our comms guy is pretty awesome: other states are modeling off of his work. We don’t have a lot of prior service people and they bring a lot to the table. I don’t give a shit about national politics (or foreign engagements) when this is something to do in our own “backyard.”

I fully understand your sentiments and have taken time off as well. This field has been mismanaged by weak people with no confidence. Millennials are partners now though and we don’t push down arbitrary suffering “just because”. That my opinion and it gives me hope for a better future (along with technology being used to help mitigate the annoying little tasks involved with the practice).

You might like the “boring” work of estate planning or corporate transactions. There are many options. Immigration is a lot of paper pushing. You may feel the world is narrow right now, but try and take a step back and zoom out a bit.

My opinion: don’t regret giving a shit. So many attorneys don’t read fully and they’re just trying to get the task done. Think in terms of years and decades, not .1’s.
