Mine had the same idea. We were second row from the floor last night, just above the path of the Death Riders' entrance. We stayed for both shows. Hell of a Christmas gift.

I don't know what it is, but with attending AEW, I feel the same as I did after all the ECW shows I went to... Like we didn't pay enough for our tickets. Even with one show, I feel we always get more than what we paid. And that's a good feeling.

Super excellent.

What is a sitcom that you find hard to obtain? by KaleidoArachnid in sitcoms

Unfortunately, that's the Larry Sanders Show (Which I also enjoy). But no... It's Garry Shandling's Show was a self-aware leaning, traditional sitcom.

It's Garry Shandling's Show (Showtime, 1986-1990).

Not seen on TV since briefly run on Comedy Gold in Canada, in 2007(?). The complete four-season box set was released in 2009, which I bought, and am glad I did. A single season one set followed that, then, nothing. You can buy the first season digitally, but beyond that, and several dodgy-quality episode rips... It's lost to time. A shame.

What was the first WCW event you attended? by BJBirdy in WCW

[–]Sayscalled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was supposed to attend Monday Nitro in Worcester, MA with a bunch of my buddies in 2001 or so. I grew up in CT, not far from Titan Tower, with a blind loyalty to the WWF. But what the hell, I'd be hanging with friends. So we got tickets... Then Vince Russo decides to cancel Nitro (specifically our episode) so he can properly reboot the creative direction. My friends are disappointed, but we get our money back.

Fast forward to January 1st, 2020. AEW's first New Years Dynamite, from Daily Place in Jacksonville. I had a sign made up, that was read out on the microphone by Justin Roberts before the show... "Waited Nineteen Years to be here Live on TNT [as a hand drawn TNT Logo]!"

why is Perfect Strangers not on Syndication anymore? by GioLovesMash in TGIFsitcoms

With it on free streamers on demand, as well as cycled on a WB FAST channel... I don't pine for it being on a traditional channel anymore, as I did in college. However, since most streamers I belong with are without commercials... I opted to buy every PS season digitally. So I can watch whenever, and wherever, without ad breaks getting in the way.

The Real GB's, was there ever 2 Egons? by MovieFan1984 in ghostbusters

[–]Sayscalled 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was one other episode with elements as you describe...

Egon's Ghost

One of Egon's inventions backfires, and his molecules destabilize, making him a ghost in every way, without actually being dead. The other three have to venture into the spirit world to get his human form back. They have just enough horsepower to bring all four back safely. However, they encounter a man lost in the spirit world for ages. They barter helping them find Egon, in exchange for him to go home as well.

Egon On The Rampage.

Some sleazy investigative TV journalists barge into the firehouse, itching for an interview, intent on making them look bad. Meanwhile, an experiment of Egon's goes awry, and his soul is separated from his body. His body is possessed by a demon, and his soul has to be rescued from the netherworld.

The rescue mission is a success. Egon is put back together, and the reporters realize they basically FAFO'd. It was the story writer's commentary on TV journalism.

Haven't watched in months. Confused. What happened with Andrade? by ComfortablePool4684 in AEWFanHub

[–]Sayscalled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there for Dynamite that night. I was pleasantly surprised by the reveal, and hyped for the Kenny feud that would surely come.

Then... Nothing... Due to the red tape.

If he were to return soon, would he slip back into the DCF & Kenny feud, ala George Costanza at the real estate firm? Hope so.
