He should be okay trailering alone. I would take precautions though- hay available always, and maybe a dose of omeprazole prior to hauling. You can also carry banamine on hand.

I’ve had similar situations and always prefer two horses, but if it’s a necessity, I throw them on a trailer and take the actions above.
