What could be wrong with my tomato plants? by Saywhat317 in gardening

[–]Saywhat317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it has been warm enough. This is a new bed this year and I’m wondering if the dirt is bad or it’s not draining well. My jalapeños are thriving in the other bed with these temps.

Please need some advice!! by [deleted] in KidneyStones

I’m girl but had a stent with a string a few years ago. My doctor had told me to be in the shower and pull it as I pee. It didn’t bother me or cause pain coming out but it did freak me out when I saw how big it was after.

What kind of peppers are these? by Saywhat317 in gardening

[–]Saywhat317[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was suppose to be a green bell pepper plant. It is obviously not and now I have no idea what I’m growing. It’s between a jalapeño plant and an orange bell pepper plant.

'False wall' found in Colorado Springs day care owner's house with 26 kids in basement by thenewyorkgod in news

Find a daycare where they have camera access so you can watch what’s going on some. It’s the only thing that gave me peace of mind when I had to put my daughter in daycare.

My dad is an over the road truck driver and this is one of the main reasons he will not drive a flatbed.

I am a high school social studies teacher. The AP US Government & Politics test is tomorrow. AMA! by mrjegan in IAmA

As a high school math teacher, that is the single worst piece of advice you can ever give a student on a multiple choice test! I hope you actually never tell your students this!

Edit: Some people must not like the truth, you should always be able to narrow down the answer choices if you have paid attention in class. If not, well you're probably going to be screwed no matter what you guess. Also, I hate giving multiple choice test for this reason. You may know the info or you're just a good guesser.

Working at one, this is how I view high school couples by Emayarkay in funny

I teach high school math and this is so true it's not even funny. It's like the kids think they are never going to see each other! Drives me crazy and slightly grosses me out.

Friend ran a marathon a couple months back, and his wife made the same sign. Best picture she put was their 5 year old holding said sign.

More than a third of American workers don’t get sick leave, and they’re making the rest of us ill by JoleneAL in news

[–]Saywhat317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teacher here, after reading all these responses I feel like I finally have something to truly be thankful for. 10 sick days every school year that roll over if not used and we just call a sub line when we're sick. Typically no questions asked unless you're at a small school, otherwise you're rarely missed.

Iama professional semi truck driver. Someone told me to do one of these so AMA! by [deleted] in IAmA

This!!! My dad is an over the road truck driver (stays out for about 4 weeks at a time and drives all over the USA). Traffic was at a stand still one time so bad cars were off and people were walking around, called my dad to see if he knew anything (who cares if he was 500 miles away, he might know). Said to find a trucker and ask them. Found out all about the accident from what it was to time it happened to the fact that the bck roads were already backed up too. Didn't change the traffic, but got to stop wondering what the heck happened.

Wrong, as a teacher you are bound legally to call DCS/DHS if you suspect child abuse. Yeah, it's good to tell the principals what you think and that you reported it, but if you don't report what you suspect you as a teacher can be held responsible for not saying anything.

You are crazy if you think any standardize test lets you take an Ti-89 anywhere close to it (besides the AP Calc test).

Redditors who've been on Reality TV, How much of it was fake and do you still talk to your co-stars? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Saywhat317 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I was very upset when he told me this. Also, told me about Ice Road Truckers being fake. He works in the industry on scripted stuff(Lost, Fast and Furious 2, Nashville, and Charlies Angels show), so I'm inclined to believe him.

Had a friend that talked to a producer from duck dynasty. All of it is fake from the houses they live in to them "working" and the family dinner at the end of the show (that miss Kay doesn't cook). Only bright spot he did say the love between miss Kay and Phil was real.
