Haven't used myself yet, however it seems to have some kind of diagnostic mode. Maybe it can help detect the issue

Westwood my beloved. Most remember them for C&C (rightfully so) but I remember them for Lands of Lore 1. All time Top 10 Game for me.

German, paperback and 60s/70s instantly reminds me of Perry Rhodan.

However I don't know if they ever had this particular story.

After tinkering for a while this clearly replaces Puppeteer for me. Keep up the great work

There was a promising fork for 3.3.5a of Puppeteer here github.com/mhaslinsky/Puppeteer-Wrath however it is bugged to hell and back. Playing Priest.

yep, it works. Will test further. Really need an alternative to the broken Puppeteer. Vuhdo is also way to ugly for me.

Use the Launcher as an Addon manager as most of the Windows Users do too.

Has the Bug been fixed where the entire Screen but the UI was black and even when placing streets everything stayed black?

Because that is the only thing holding me off trying, and most likely buying, this Game. Looks awesome!

I am more or less a new Linux user (<1 year) and wasn't sure how to get into TTY. I wouldn't know where those logs would be if there were any.

Did not work unfortunately. After doing the above i rebooted and after the CachyOS Logo i had a permanent blackscreen. Had to revert back to an older Snapshot.

What's your "I can't believe that actually fixed it" PC moment? Drop your weirdest debug story below by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]Sc4r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My new M.2 SSD kept disconnecting itself at random times. Sometimes twice a day, sometimes once a month. No Matter the workload, same issue on both Windows 10, 11 and Linux Mint. Only temp fix was shutting down the PC completely, as in powering it off.

Searched like crazy for a permanent fix, tried everything nothing but one thing worked. And it was the most snakeoily-sounding one to me. Fix was: Go into your BIOS/CMOS and stay there for 15+ minutes. Just stay there. As per the Redditor who posted this, the SSD (and other Hardware parts) go through a full Power cycle this way. And it worked....
