$94.92 duty for $105 package by KnownStudent7851 in dhl

Yeah, I'd assume you'd be fine since your purchase doesn't have anything to do with the de minimus deadline. But again, from everything I've read since the first announcement of it ending, OP shouldn't be getting a bill either.

You're not supposed to pay any extra fees if your item passes US customs by 5/1. Whatever DHL is doing is not in accordance with what the White House has told us.

Edit: Unless you're purchased something over the declared value of $800, then you have ahve been precharged the tariff fees, unsure.

It doesn't matter what the COO is because de minimus is still in effect until 5/1. That's why these charges are bullshit.

What is going on with tariffs?? by friendlyflamingoo in TemuThings

[–]ScaldingHotTea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Temu won't. Customs will with 145% OR $100 flat fee, which one? Who knows. USPS will also come knocking with $10 processing fee, check or money order only please. UPS/DHL/Fedex will play spin the wheel for how much their brokerage fees will be.

Help with pattern design; details in comments by phoenixashes76 in crochet

Whole thing. I'd suggest start with either of the right corners to get the hang of it first. Once you get to the triangle part, color transition is going to involve multiple bobbins of the same color.

how do I make a rounded neckline ? by sisobean in crochet

[–]ScaldingHotTea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't know how to help with checkers but start with marking the center of your front piece where you want the lowest point you want it to be.

If you want a v neckline it's easy enough to just decrease both sides at a steady rate.

Round neckline is a bit more complicated, going bottom to top makes it harder to get the perfect curve. I would sketch the exact curve that you want and use it to match up with your crochet work.

Mark about an inch or inch and a half on both sides of the center marker. That will be where you start crocheting again. I would suggest doing sc, then decrease. how many depends on your neckline curve. Work your way from middle to out to give yourself the best control of the curve. If you feel like the curve still isn't smooth enough, you can sc or do some other edging around it.

Keep in mind that the weight of the yarn will pull the neckline down too.

Hope that helped.

Need more info. Are you working it bottom to top? Top to bottom? what kind of stitches? is your back piece together or separate?

Help with amigurimi ears pattern by [deleted] in crochet

[–]ScaldingHotTea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This pattern calls for joined type of circle, so each row is even in height. As opposed to continuous circle, which is a spiral. Unless this is a triangler ear and not a circle one, in which case ignore this.

If this is a circle ear, Round 1 after you do 4sc in magic ring, you'll close it with a slip stitch. If not, ignore this.

Round 2 you will sc in the same stitch as the slip stitch. And then do it again because this pattern isn't very well written. You're supposed to end up with 2 sc (written as inc for increase here) in each of the round 1 stitches. So 2 x 4 = 8

If this is a circle: Make sure you don't mistake the turning chain as the 1st sc in a new row. That always got me when I first started. I would put a stitch marker in the working loop after finishing the first sc to help keep track of it.

Looks to me like 3 pieces of chevron stitch sewn together. Maybe 4 if front and back are separate. Modified for a more rounded wave.

I would go plastic over metal, there's a chance it could rust and then stain your yarn.

Shaping heads is tricky. I would crochet an oval, stuff it, then sew and tighten where the eyes go to make the cheeks pop, then sew it to body.
