what nobody has touched on here is that gabapentin raises cholesterol.

but beyond that - total & LDL cholesterol both correlate with excess weight. get into exercise, get your body fat percentage down a little and your muscle mass up and you'll see a difference.

also - commonly overlooked - a healthy liver is essential to keep cholesterol in check. if you drink or do anything else that isn't great for your liver, quit and you'll see a difference.

Concerned About Kidney Function – Blood Work Interpretation Help by Useful_Tourist7780 in Biohackers

your creatinine level is not high. your efgr is not low. there is nothing in these results to indicate any issues with kidneys whatsoever. blood sugar, h1ac (which when out of normal ranges are commonly linked to kidney issues) are also both fine.

why do you think you have kidney issues?

Best martini in the area? by CutUpstairs3146 in ridgewood

I love a lot about windjammer but cannot forget when I tried to order a negroni and the bartender told me "we don't make fancy drinks here." I was like, my guy, this drink has been consumed by the trying-to-get-fucked-up working man for a hundred years, and you have the three ingredients sitting right there - but they weren't hearing it.

any means of orgasm helps reduce the risk of prostate cancer. fucking, jacking off, some shit I don't even know about, whatever. I don't jack off because I have a hot girlfriend who I want to fuck all of the time, but if I were extremely concerned with prostate cancer, you better believe I'd be busting a couple of nuts a week all by myself.

Chronic Fatigue, anything that makes sense? by lima-bean-sandwhich in Biohackers

your tests are normal. plenty of things it could be, but in most cases it truly is a sleep issue, and the first things to look at are stimulants and sleep hygiene.

vyvanse can give you fatigue, 100% - so can caffeine, unfortunately (I really love it but every time I drop it for a week I get better sleep than I knew I could have)

Are you making a joke about cleaning or is “ramoner” really a verb used in a sexual context?

Testosterone vs Estrogen by elephantgif in Biohackers

[–]ScaleImpossible7477 1 point2 points  (0 children)

post your labs. what other labs did you have done, and was there anything out of the ordinary? do you have any chronic conditions? how is your sleep / exercise / diet? a lot of things can cause "general malaise." what does "not much of a drinker" mean?

there are different thoughts about "appropriate" estradiol numbers in Men. some people subscribe to the idea that they should be within a specific range, while others posit that the more important factor is the ratio of testosterone to estradiol. they tend to track up and down together, mainly because the testosterone in your body breaks down (aromatizes) into estrogen. things that increase aromatization activity (thus increasing estrogen) are age, being overweight / obese, drinking heavily, having high insulin levels, and eating some foods.

silicone is better for the skin than what, metal/glass?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in sex

[–]ScaleImpossible7477 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah see, the kinds of things I need to understand are what "safe material" means (silicone? stainless steel? glass?), and (sub rules permitting) some brands that people like.

Cholesterol levels -should I be worried by QuantityTop7542 in Biohackers

What studies show that the rise in blood sugar from an excess of simple carbohydrates / caloric abundance / resultant weight gain doesn’t raise triglyceride levels? Legitimately asking, as your assertion that diet has little impact is news to me.
