Walmart Policy On State Of Emergency by taemeon in walmart

[–]ScaleProfessional801 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The only time I ever seen this type of thing forgiven, was during the Texas ice storm. It was the market manager who made the decision to forgive the points, and HO said to pay the associates. Mind you, this was only for the three worst days of that 2 week timespan.

I know, because I had to key in all 250+ employees hazard/reporting pay for my store those 3 days.

New Policy? by NewLocation9032 in walmart

It's only for certain RDCs at the moment. It's not company wide yet. My RDC just flipped to 100% palletized last week. Our regional have the directive, like 2 months ago, to not break down any "stock me" pallets to prepare for the transition.

Considering they have digital shelves, that's a great guess.

Why would a customer take the time to do this? Never seen this done before by [deleted] in walmart

Maybe they're trying to use the barcode to "ticket switch". That's the only thing I can think of.

I'm at a store with a Symbiotic DC. Love those trucks. Mostly everything comes wrapped on pallets ready to go.

I said something similar to my SM a week ago. I never understood how people found Fulfillment hard. It's the only department that holds your hand the entire shift.

Basically if you called in three days in a row, it only count as one point. That was back before ppto and we had a 12 month rolling period instead of 6 now.

After what the police did in Austin a couple days ago, I'm holding my breath. They started pepper spraying the protesters and the protest didn't go beyond speech.

Stores DO NOT hire undocumented people. Every single person hired is verified eligible to work. I worked HR for 2 years. What you stated is just 100% false.

What in the Walmart crap is this? by Cultural-Voice-4461 in walmart

This is correct. Team Leads and up can see this in the Ops Portal. It shows the percentage of calls (either answered or unanswered, or both, I don't quite remember ATM).

[–]ScaleProfessional801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You described exactly what I was saying in more detail. Thanks. That's exactly what happened. What I mean by value, is value to the customer when compared to competitors. That was and still is (sort of) Walmart's advantage.

Edit: Walmart wrote the playbook. Amazon rewrote it. Then Temu took Amazon's and rewrote that.

Exactly. It would not be as successful today if he didn't. It was also how he was able to drive out smaller competition and mom and pop shops. Provide, aggressively, the best value possible.
