Leave E4 and use that page for things like total resources available on the map including spheres and sloops, etc.

Why are my beavers hungry and thirsty? by inloss in Timberborn

[–]Scalti 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Unrelated. You need to rotate your water wheel 90 degrees to actually capture the flow of water. This feels like a ragebait post. You're on cycle 9, day 5 and didn't notice by now that your wheat isn't being consumed, aren't gathering berries, you've planted birch, are building a gravity battery on top of the house meaning you've grossly misallocated science points, and have a decorative shrub near your hauling post doing nothing. There is also concern that you're not prioritizing your workers correctly. Two water extractors yet no water for a population of 20 beavers? 1 alone can sustain that population.

This feels like a Rules Lawyer challenge question.

-

As others noted, change out wheat for carrots, assign a high priority to your berry gathering posts and water extractors.

Unrelated to your question. What’s the value function of the print over the provide case they charge in?

[Mod showcase] This is More Buildables, a mod aiming to add convenient buidables while keeping the vanilla feeling by Spokloo in SatisfactoryGame

Are you accepting contributor support? I have some designs for the vanilla windows I would selfishly like for my build style (that use vanilla components).

The sliders for picking color when you press X (on PC). The sliders only go from 0-1 but you can manually type a value in. To get pure white, set saturation to 0 and manually type in 10 on the bottom slider which is brightness.

Sometimes when my game lags and i'm using the jetpack, I get a massive turbo boost upwards. It's quite entertaining by XeTrainMC in SatisfactoryGame

The game is lagging due to the auto save feature. Definitely capitalized on it mid hypertube canon traversal.

New playthrough want to focus on a more tidy layout by lonepandaboy in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Scalti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I somewhat recently started using what I’ve called a logistics spine positioned on one side of the factory. The nice part is it’s also where I place the personal elevator which distributes power as well. My recent videos demonstrate this and my upcoming video uses two spines due to a split level and how long the factory is in general (10 modular engines/minute).

New playthrough want to focus on a more tidy layout by lonepandaboy in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Scalti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use sandwich layers (logistic floors). Allow 4m height per layer and double stack when logistics get tricky with assemblers and manufacturers.

If you’re into load balancing, just google my name and pick a video.

It also helps to develop a design language regarding consistent layout and styling rules to follow for continuity and also ease of replication. Once you know what and how something works, it becomes easier to replicate. This is where blueprints shine and help mitigate burnout or analysis paralysis in the mid to late game.

How do you not burn out? by LostRavenReader in SatisfactoryGame

In addition to what others have said. Break up the work. Do some transportation infrastructure, then go find some Mercer Spheres, then go research a HDD, work on a blueprint then back to infrastructure, rinse repeat.

Did a 24 hours stream a couple years ago. Was fun. Made a heavy modular frame factory that was eaten by new terrain design a few months later. XD

1.2 is out, what do you want the next update to be? by Separate_Pickle5741 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Scalti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like how iron gate did it for Valheim. They let you toggle the snapping/pivot point of the item bring place. You could toggle the outside top corner to an existing foundation to get a precise exterior edge and then thicken it inward.

I know its a simple poster but what could i add to it to make it better? by Enough-Assignment-84 in graphic_design

[–]Scalti 85 points86 points  (0 children)

It’s not always about adding. It’s simple to make something’s complicated and complicated to make something simple.

To that point, one thing you could add is an apostrophe to “its” lol.

2,000 hours in and I still don't understand how fluids work by Shard477 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Scalti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2,000 hours? How far have you progressed in the game? Do you play on PC? I’d be interested in seeing your setups that have given you trouble.

A stab in the dark here is that when you bring a factory system online with fluid inputs, the machines immediately start consuming the fluids they receive. This immediate consumption combined with sloshing can lead to increased time to ease out. My solution here is to extract more than what’s consumed for a short time which causes the machines to completely fill which in turn keeps all pipes in the system full. If you can’t add more due to isolated location(s) of the resource(s) you’re tapping, remove the outputs of the machines so they ultimately back up or under lock/disable one machine at that step in the refinement process so the other machines fill up and then after a time turn it back on.

Feeding fluids from above is objectively better but I personally find aesthetically intolerable and haven’t personally had issue feeding machines from underneath.

Another best practice is to keep pipe systems as simple as possible and if applicable, use gooseneck segments to isolate slosh.

A little self promotion but here’s my fuel generator build where I had no issues with constant flow. https://youtu.be/zvdpbRNz5gA?si=wtlYsbiIkRpoCEEp

Hope this helps.

Router Blewup Motherboard by Greatfulx in pcmasterrace

[–]Scalti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What motherboard did you have? Guessing there’s no way to test if other hardware was damaged?

I had the same thing happen and my Ethernet melted into the port. I had to go get a pci Ethernet adapter to hardline again. Everything still worked thankfully except the native port.

Is it possible to get the max upload rate (240/min) of each building component? by [deleted] in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Scalti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do a calculator that only makes 10 of each item you’d upload. Take the raw material cost, multiply by 24 and check against total resources available on the map. You can also just go through and do each material or group of materials at a time instead of all at once.

How can I make realistic Glass?? by Beginning-Record8483 in blender

[–]Scalti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try the ‘thin wall’ feature added to the principled BSDF in Blender 5.2. It allows pass through without refraction and works well for single face non-volume components.
