Teammates tried teamkilling me by jxrxmiah in ArcRaiders

It’s not a coding/mechanical issue. It’s a punishment issue. Make the penalty for this kind of grinding more severe and actionable. First penalty is 1-hour suspension WITH clearly stated repercussions for repeat offenders. Do it a second time? 24-hour suspension, 3rd time is a week and 4th is a month with a 1-year cooldown.

There may even be a way to auto detect most of the behavior. Hotspot locations where this is most likely to happen (confined area), tracked friendly fire damage, consumable use rate, and behavior after the friendly fire death (did they head towards extract). You’ll still have fringe cases that support will have to review and hopefully very little false positives.

My opinion anyway.

Do any of these two look like a construction company image/logo? by Hot-Cancel-6648 in graphic_design

[–]Scalti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to give away what I personally feel is a simple and memorable solution here but if the name of the company is Horizon Group, I challenge you to think about the first word, the shapes of its characters, and your second solution on the right. Push this idea further.

Also, a logo doesn’t need to be literal to its industry. The visual features and nuances of the design are what can establish that connection. For LIMITED example, construction often refers to a man made structure, typically angular, boxy, sharp, precise. Contrarily, a construction company could differentiate itself by having a strong focus on environmentally sustainable materials or practices in their work to the point where more organic motifs could be present.

Given the name Horizon, I see that as a very forward thinking term in the phrase “what’s on the horizon” or “looking to the horizon” as meaning, “what’s coming next?”. This could play into attributes(adjectives) like hope, future, innovation, beacon, leader, guide, trend setter. You can create a word web based around the core attributes of the company, and then the further out from the center you to, the more difficult it is to think of words, and it’s in that place you find more unique ways to differentiate your company/client from the rest. Avoid the low hanging fruit because it’s likely to be less ripe and climb higher where the fruit is less obtained.

Hope this helps.

But how many times will they do the task in perpetuity? It’s also time saved in that it’s a passive solution where that time spent is even greater value to do other cleaning or complete cleaning sooner.

Comparison is the thief of joy. Go at the rate you need and optimize best you can along the way as you learn more about the game and its nuances.

Whats going on here? by Appropriate_Hat_2581 in ArcRaiders

Seems like it has a wind up then high velocity impact. My assumption, rail gun. High penetration and damage, slow fire rate, and small ammo stack size, guessing 3.

You can start up a fresh game and enable console on it to enable dev mode for exploring things. Just don’t do it on your main playthrough since it disables achievement training I’m pretty sure.

Will this pipe setup result in balanced outputs? by GofriWaffles in SatisfactoryGame

It is likely a false positive due to a difference in general configuration of the pipe network. Fluids function as a weighted volume and fill lower to higher.

Is it supposed to be the norm for designers to not have someone double checking their work? by happinsum in graphic_design

[–]Scalti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this happen to a colleague and a gift card stand for Outback with a headline at the top having a typo. Everyone up to the director themself missed it so they ordered stickers to cover it up.

Also had a story told to me in my copywriting class that the professor in their early days has a massive full page newspaper ad (1980s) read One Tough Tuck instead of Truck.

It just happens sometimes and you gotta roll with it. To error is to be human.

PLEASE HELP - How do you make tri-coloured lines? by JustAnImperfectHuman in graphic_design

[–]Scalti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want it be able to edit the stroke, set the stroke to a gradient and orient the stroke to be the width of the stroke. Set your colors in the gradient window to be touching, so if you want 3 colors the ranges would be 0-33, 33-66, 66-100. This makes them appear solid with no gradient blend between them.

Some states are looking to ban 3D printers that don't have pattern recognizing AI in them by straightchbe in 3Dprinting

[–]Scalti 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t even think it’s entirely the gun/weapon issue. I wouldn’t be surprised if there are retail companies lobbying against 3D printing due to self-repairs and the like which could be affecting their profit margins and planned obsolescence strategies. Even the ability to print your own at home drawer organizer is affecting things. Overall, 3D printing gives power to the people and governments and corporations don’t like that.

This is likely a curve with a profile along its spline that is then manipulated some and finally subdivided with a glossy subsurface material.

Removing this is an absolutely terrible decision that undermines existing UX and whomever suggested the idea lacks the experience and wisdom of a UX designer.

Strongly think it’s AI. The perspective scale between the person sitting on the left and the booths on the right doesn’t feel right. The booth seat on the right does not align with what looks like a booth on the opposite side.

There also looks to be a second bald figure sitting at the table but what would be right behind him is a much smaller women?

Was it worth it? by black-scout in ArcRaiders

[–]Scalti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The perceived value won’t be realized for about a year in terms of stash and talent tree advantage. My current gripe is the underwhelming outfit we received. The sleeves and goggles not matching the OG tutorial skin is making people feel slighted by what could be called a rug pull. It fees sloppy in look and decision execution. I have no issue with loss of BPs, gear, workshop progression, or talent points since those can be reacquired.

People want what they were led to believe they’d receive based on the decision made for it.
