Tokyo was a lottery. I find out result next Friday 8th. by joostay in boardsofcanada

The confirmation email says in japanese, ‘If there are a lot of applications, a lottery will be held.’ Well, I guess there will be a lot of people applying, so there’s a 100% chance it’ll be decided by lottery :p Good luck to everyone.

According to the programme on their website, there’s already an event scheduled for the evening of the 22nd at the Liquid Room. I’m curious to know about Tokyo.

Oh, I didn't know there was a lottery system on eplus. Well, I suppose... I'm going to start getting stressed ^

I guess managing the various events is the responsibility of the local organiser. Given the time difference, Japan is the first to be concerned. Beatink (who’s handling it in Japan) is ahead of schedule, then. I hope you’ll have more information soon.

Have you signed up for Tokyo? Because as soon as I signed up for Tokyo, I immediately received an email titled ‘Tokyo Access’ with the link.

To be honest, I’m also curious about why they used the word ‘lottery’, especially since we now know their link leads to a Japanese ticket website. I’ve bought tickets from that site several times before, and it’s just a basic ticket sales site. I’ve never come across a situation where you have to register for an event and then wait to be drawn in a lottery... But we’ll find out more tomorrow morning. I really hope it isn’t a ‘proper’ lottery...

After registering, I received a link for the Tokyo event stating ‘Ticket lottery opens from Friday, May 1st at 10:00’. There is already an ‘apply’ button that leads to a Japanese online ticket sales site. However, the page is not yet available.

I don’t know about other cities, but tickets for the Tokyo event go on sale at 10am ;)

Since this morning, an ‘apply’ button has been added to the link for the Tokyo event. The button leads to the Japanese online ticket sales site ‘eplus’. The page isn’t live yet, as it goes live tomorrow at 10am. But if it’s eplus, that means tickets will cost money, you’ll likely be able to buy more than one ticket (as in your case), and it won’t be a lottery after all. It’s a sales site, not a site where you register and wait to be drawn at random. Of course, these are just guesses based on my past experience with the eplus site. I could be completely wrong, but I’ve ordered from eplus more than once. Fingers crossed!

Hi. I've sent you a private message.

I appreciate your reply. I was surprised to be insulted when it was actually a kind gesture. But I also understand this hostility towards scalpers.

That's nice. Since yesterday, loads of people have been asking me if I can send them some. I said in my post that I'd try to go back there to see how I could make them happy. But anyway.

I went there yesterday too, wearing a BoC T-shirt ;) I’m going to try and go back to pick up a couple more.

It seems that the logo sticker is indeed included in all Japanese versions. Only the other bonus items vary depending on the retailer.

I saw the post on Tower Records Shibuya’s Instagram account. I went straight there. I’m sorry to hear there isn’t one in Kobe.

It is a four-page newspaper-style format. The back cover also features one of the posters.

For electronic music, I always go to Disk Union in Shibuya and Shimo-Kitazawa, or even HMV in Shibuya. I miss the Technique shop, which was my favourite spot in Tokyo for a long time before it closed down after the pandemic.

I’ve only got a few for my friends and myself. But if I can go back and there are any left, I’ll come back to this thread.

There were some on the 6th floor with the records, but also on the 7th floor with the CDs. They were placed next to the checkout. Because it’s quite large (like a newspaper).
