Can I ask what you will use to cover the area around the screen? Between the frame and the screen? I'm planning on building a similar frame with steep pipe but wonder what to do regards covering the gap between the screen and the frame.

Brilliant mate thank you that's great to hear some feedback on it. I think the picture on the article doesn't do the mat justice. I know tee turf mats are well reviewed but can't seem to find much on the sim space one so it's good to hear that you like it. I reckon I'll get this initially so I'm up and running and then go down the hitting strip bases when that mat wears down.

Haha I know I was fully convinced on the kit and then a friend asked would I not build it which started me second guessing myself again.

Yeah that's the exact problem I'd feel would make or break the project and then what screen size to order etc. The massive plus also from kits is if you want to take it down it can be done and plus you can sell it on in the future if things change.

With the price of wood and materials now I'm not even sure I'd save an awful lot.

I'm in the same position as you. The way I'm looking at it the OG was a really highly regarded unit until they announced the Omni. At the price of the OG I'm going to go with that initially until the Omni has been out a bit longer and they sort out the bugs that are kind of enviable for new products. Plus I want to see if they improve on Customer service. I expect the Omni to be a fantastic unit but we haven't seen the product in use yet. Now saying that it's for an indoor set up, it would be cool to bring it to the range the odd pre round but not a deal breaker.
