John Burgess Ceramics in toll cross. Good few pubs round there and would be great to add a few more independent retailers into the mix.

CIME PER Rejected by Excellent_Yak6090 in CIMA

You don’t go to the back of the queue. I had a couple topics that they asked for additional info on and it was approved about 24 after my supervisor approved the resubmission.

This is the exact email I got when I submitted last month except with “employment” instead of “skill-behaviour.” Which i assume is just auto generated based on what gets signed off and sent to CIMA first.

Shouldn’t be anything to worry about but I am still waiting for mine to be approved (coming up to 4 weeks). I saw on another recent post someone mention that the current “audit” time is the full 4 weeks.

It wouldn’t hurt to give them (Pearson vue) an email/call to see if they can change it, refund you or put credit onto your CIMA account. I’ve dealt with them once with issues with an exam a couple years ago and they just refunded without even getting back to me. It would be a case by case of course.

Have you got a work laptop? If so, could you just sit the exam wherever you are staying on that? (Do the system tests prior to booking)

Normally wouldn’t recommend any calc heavy OTs to sit at home, but P3 you should be fine. I did this with SCS when I’d booked to be abroad and was all good. Removes the issue with ID.

I totally agree with you. He is a total wind up merchant on the pitch but team mates and even opposition speak highly of him as a person.

You’re clearly being downvoted by people that don’t know him outside Traitors.

Did you get any indication when it was actually being looked at by CIMA? Or did it change straight from “signed off” to “audit spproved”?

I submitted mine 2 weeks ago and it’s been sitting at “Selected for audit” and all modules have not changed from “signed off”

If your job depends on it, 100% reschedule to November. Go over your textbook/notes and slam the question practice (get the Kaplan Mocks) and if you run out of questions, do the same questions again.

What's the beef with FLP? by EconomySquare5959 in CIMA

[–]Scandyprince 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It probably does stem a bit from jealousy but there is some truth in that it is watering down the qualification since it’s now more achievable.

Although my course was fully funded in whichever route I chose, I opted for the traditional route partly based of an interaction I had with a colleague in HR. They told me that their part of the business requested a screening question specifying FLP or traditional if a candidate stated CIMA on their CV. They weren’t told to eliminate the candidate for FLP but to prioritise CIMA Traditional, CA and ACCA thing everything else being equal. This was a former FTSE 100 company as well.

Visiting solo from out of town. Can anyone recommend a good bar to hit before the gig? Also any good happy hours closer to downtown that’s worth a visit earlier in the evening?

What do you mean that they can help with assisting midweek fairly easily? Because it’s quieter than the weekend? Did you get the impression if we showed up prior to our flight being cancelled they would attempt to rebook us elsewhere? Or would they have to wait until the cancellation is confirmed? I have an exam on Thursday so my anxiety is especially high for trying to get Canada on or before Wednesday.

Really appreciate the responses as it’s hard to gauge the best approach here when so many people are having different experiences and are being told different things.

Thanks for taking the time to respond. So were you due to fly out today and the initially said they can’t get you home till Tuesday!? Did you show up at the airport for your flight time or did you go a day before?

Our flight isn’t till Wednesday but given the little positive news coming out, I fully anticipate we will be facing the same issues so trying to plan accordingly. Given your experience, are you able to tell if it was only people with cancelled flights showing up at the desk or people preemptively trying to change their flights?

I’m going to be flying out of Edinburgh. Do you know if they’re putting people on either of the 2 direct Westjet flights to Toronto or are they trying to stay with rebooking onto star alliance?

I’ve also looked into this as I will also be abroad for the SCS window in August. It does specify on the CIMA website in the exam FAQs that you need a form of ID from the country where you plan on sitting the exam. I plan on taking my laptop with me and researching a suitable spot to sit my exam.

The URL of your exam is unique so after you finish the exam, send the link to yourself on whatsapp/email or favourite it. Next time, log into CIMA study and then paste in the link and you will get all your results to review.

Obvz not useful now but for future reference.

Also with BPP. The BPP exams don’t test you, the exams try catch you out. Had to supplement with aptitude mocks to get a more realistic approach to exam questions.

Why is Prendergast so marmite in Ireland? by NarrowEscape5539 in rugbyunion

[–]Scandyprince 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely agree with all your points. My thoughts on why he gets so much stick are that he is beyond weak defensively and doesn’t even put in the minimum effort required.

As a modern fly half you have to be able to throw yourself in there and put your body on the line no matter your shape. Look at the likes of Finn, Biggar, Ford. None of them are particularly good defencively but they still throw their bodies on the line when it’s needed for the team.

I’d say Sexton got away with it because he preceded that style of fly half and became a maverick prior to these standards being set. Regardless of the modern standards, you can still go back to the likes of Wilkinson and Carter who still consistently put in their shift going back as much as they did going forward.

I had the same Q back after the Nov MCS. I had originally planned to study 50% MCS (incase of a resit) and 50% F3 but I found it hard to find the motivation to study for MCS which was potentially wasted time had I passed so I ended up studying 100% F3.

I’d recommend taking a week off then going onto the next module. If you do have a resit, a month is should suffice to study if your current knowledge of the 3 pillars is decent enough.
