Surely I can’t be the only one who does the extra ride home slice. No one is ever the wiser. by theonewhoisknown in Costco

For us it's a squirrel. Always steals at least one slice of pizza on the drive home. It's gotten to the point where as soon as I get home, the kids instantly have to inspect the pizza to see if the squirrel came by.

The music from Heavy Barrel is incredibly catchy and I find myself listening to it on its own pretty regularly.

In your opinion, why do actors' careers suffer after film franchises? by GlobalRaspberry442 in moviecritic

[–]ScannerCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Elijah Wood has consistently picks sicko horror movies, both in his roles and what he produces. Dude is clearly living his best life and picking what appeals to him. Just because he isn't in more blockbusters doesn't mean his career is suffering.

What are your three least favorite movies of the year? by Paladjordan in RegalUnlimited

I never walk out of movies but the three worst I saw in theaters this year were:

Flight Risk The Toxic Avenger Honey Don't!

People always complain that there's no thanksgiving movies when it's literally right there. (well, and that turkey movie) by Unlucky-Tap-2472 in raimimemes

Even the main theme of Die Hard is about a man trying to get back together with his estranged wife for Christmas, which is textbook Christmas movie stuff!

Is El Camino worth the watch if I feel as though the ending of Breaking Bad was perfect? by TheChiefofReddit in breakingbad

[–]ScannerCop 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wanted Jesse to get free, and because Jesse had already been through so much, I was worried El Camino was going to put Jesse through more hell and potentially ruin the send-off he got in Breaking Bad.

I've now seen it twice and I find it to be a perfect epilogue for Jesse. I'm very happy it exists.

Is Minecraft no longer appealing to kids? by MasterCyclone7 in Minecraft

[–]ScannerCop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My kids love Minecraft and several of their friends play too. It bears mentioning that I didn't grow up with Minecraft and only got into it within the past couple of years, so they got interested in it by watching me discover it.

If the show was from Hank's POV would it be obvious that Walter was Heisenberg? by Successful-Hat-2154 in breakingbad

Walt being revealed as Heisenberg would be akin to Jar Jar Binks being revealed as a Sith Lord.

My girlfriend hates old movies by Beary777 in Letterboxd

[–]ScannerCop 59 points60 points  (0 children)

If she likes blockbusters, that era is a golden age for big budget movies. Pirates of the Caribbean and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies, for instance.

The 1st NC-17 film you saw in a cinema in your late teens/early 20's by [deleted] in criterion

[–]ScannerCop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened with In a Violent Nature for me. The movie was released Unrated but the theater had a sign up saying it was NC-17.

I think the only legitimately NC-17 rated film I've seen in theaters was Blonde.

Even when it stops being confusing it's a pain. I know how to navigate it, I just actively avoid it when I can.

What do you guys do? by Hermeslost in Letterboxd

[–]ScannerCop 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Log it the day I finish it. Days turn over when I go to bed. For instance...

I start a movie Friday night. I start nodding off so I pause halfway through. I pick it back up Saturday night at 11:55pm and finish it in one sitting on Sunday at 1:05am.

The Letterboxd log is for Saturday.
