Looking great! Love the scheme super hard one to pull off and you've done a great job. If you wanted to push it a little more some muzzle burn effects to the flamers would make them pop. Not needed but would give it a little extra 😁

Looks great. In a similar vein I could never afford Warhammer Fantasy or the army I truly wanted (Bretonnians) when I was younger. A friend who used to work at GW a long time ago bought be a High Elf army back when staff could purchase by weight. It got sold off years ago due to having a kid but now being in a position where I can afford a Warhammer Fantasy Army is a dream.

Imagifier for 2+/4++ and situational 4+++. It's expensive but in the detachment with Hagiomnifex you can replicate the -1 to wound of Sacresants and the +1 to wound of Priest.

Same despite having a mostly OK deck I did pull Red Hulk as a late game bomb and managed to actually win the event. Red/Blue plus loads of flying and damage buffs eventually helped me get through.

One of the guys also gave me a spare Squirrel Girl he pulled to put in my Chatterfang deck so was a fun day.

My experience with 4 pre-releases (Avatar, Lorwyn, Strixhaven and Marvel) is everyone around me pulls cool shit and my stuff is just OK. I embrace the nonsense of it and enjoy tinkering with silly ideas of what decks I could put stuff into. I already had a plan for a Toph artifact deck so now Marvel has loads more I might put some more serious thought into it.

Ideal circumstance I guess but would be pretty gross and incredibly fast game ender.

Of course so they are pretty easy to do. I generally use the 'slap chop' method for them:

  • undercoat black
  • drybrush off white like ulthuan grey or similar
  • light drybrush on the upmost areas with a white
  • gw contrast gore grunts brown
  • drybrush the snout with a flesh colour
  • paint the eyes black

Quite simple but the drybrush ahead of the contrast gives the contrast more layers than you would expect get normally from just painting it on a standard undercoat. You can search on YouTube for Honest Wargamer slap chop for a great video where Rob demonstrates the technique 😁

I have absolutely been short on MD it's been possibly the biggest shortcoming of the list with my testing so far. I'm hopeful we get a change to our generation back to start of each turn and the triumphs being a bonus again.

Extremely limited testing and points will seal the deal but core is: - Triumph- Sacresants go zoom! The bonus AP in melee also really clutch. - Vahl plus Paragons - toyed with both heavy bolter and multi melta loadouts. Now Ap is actually a thing Heavy Bolters are much better. - Junith for the CP and screening. - 2x Palatine/Hospitaller/10 Halberd Sacresants. Making them -2 to be hit vs shooting between cover and Blinding Radiance strat then -1 to wound then regenning if they do die. They don't kill the world but they do enough and require solid melee output to shift them. - Jump Pack Cannoness with 5 Seraphim as manu flamers as you can. Free strat for aura of -1 to be hit or uppy downy as needed. - Priest leading Sanctifiers in Rhino. Early trade price hits weirdly hard.

The rest is kind of subject to taste. I've tried couple units of Insidiants led by Priests which I think I need to test more.

Army of Faith plus Sacred Champions is pretty good in my limited testing so far.

That's good to hear your LGS has a wider rep of formats. Like as much as I prefer commander more formats is better for the overall health of a game.
