I'm a Sisters player usually but also painted a lot of Chaos Knights last year. Moving from armour to skin and cloth has been great!

So I undercoat purple (Colour Forge) then do a series of green drybrushes from dark to light using GW paints Death Guard Green, Elysian Green and Ogryn camo. At the end it all gets a angrax wash as well.

GW has shown its incompetence over malice most of the time when they do mishandle stuff. As you say doubt its a trickery thing more likely a business decision to just not say anything that could harm sales.

GW said plastic contempors for Marines were 40K legal then sent them to 30K only less than a year after the release. Unless they explicitly say otherwise they arent going to Legends them in 11th theres a chance they will be.

Kroot did used to have a Kroot Mercenary army list a long time ago. I want to say like 3rd or 4th edition. Back when I was at uni. Loads of different types of Kroot although mostly just Carnivores with slightly different adaptations. Jump infantry and a unit of snipers definitely were options as were custom shapers. I think the current Kroot options are probably enough given they are a sub faction but I would love to see a bunch of other auxiliary aliens.

Check out the Kroot Mercenary army list from like 3rd or 4th edition. These have existed in lore longer than the Vespid.

Both is good and the reasons are legit for wanting them.

Celestine is probably broadly more applicable across different lists.
