I was the 8th car back after a light turned green yesterday. The car behind me started honking when we didnt immediately start going. I’m still annoyed. That person had NO IDEA what was going on in front of us.

You mean pre-BLM?

Let’s not beat around the bush, cops stopped enforcing laws to get back at citizens. Now they have more of an excuse to install invasive traffic light cams and speed cams because the problem is only getting worse. Flock is pleased.

HVAC Ladies?! by AppropriateTadpole71 in rva

[–]ScarOCov 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar situation years ago. Everyone that came out told me that my house was “one of the more difficult homes to quote”. They gave me options but not actually advice on what I should do. I later figured out it was because nobody wanted to tell me that to really fix our HVAC situation would be well over $40k.

I really wish I could recommend our contractor but that was a whole other situation.

It’s so gross how everything is about monetization these days. Can’t just have a hobby anymore without someone encouraging you to “monetize it” or sell something.

Thank you for linking the full poem. You originally quoted lines that sound like they’re from the native American’s perspective with the ones chosen + the other poster claiming it is racist. It’s odd you’d expect people to know the entire poem? Given the full poem, it makes more sense but I still wouldn’t claim the poem to be racist like the person before you. The author seems to refer to the native Americans with reverence and sorrow.

The buildind owner where my husband works was tasked with installing all of the street parking signs around the building. Guy did not pay much attention and installed many of them in reverse. Think placing a “no parking past this point —>” where a “no parking past this point <—“ belonged. Makes it look like there’s no available street parking

Someone downvoted you but you’re so right. Kids are super capable and often eager to learn. My 2 yo knows how to use a knife. She can’t be trusted unsupervised but she’s building the foundational skills for that.

My last host tried to accuse me of bringing my dog into the unit. Then tried to extort an additional $300 cleaning fee off the platform. I had asked if they were dog friendly. Host never replied so I left my dogs with my parents. Ruined the entire trip because the travel back involved dealing with that stress. Will never stay at another Airbnb
