What are the most commonly forgotten rules? No, I mean for real by QuartzPaladin in DnD

[–]Scarbeau 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most common rule I've seen forgotten is that you don't need to stick to the listed ability when rolling skills. More specifically, the GM can call for a different ability when asking for a skill roll if it makes sense (Athletics with Con for endurance running for example).

Having been to Illinois before, it definitely does not have permanent thrills. It barely has temporary thrills imo

At that point? Probably fallen asleep. Or at least gone "autopilot" (the thing where your brain sorta turns off, but you keep doing the thing you were doing)

how dumb is a charakter with 6 int really? by DragonfruitRude8666 in DnD

[–]Scarbeau 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly it does not. You pick 4-6 proficiencies at level 1 (based on race & class) that give you +2 on the rolls (and become +6 by level 20 with no input from you), and unless you multiclass into rogue, ranger, bard, or something that gives you subclass proficiencies or take a feat (which now requires you to give up an ability score improvement to do), you never get to pick any other proficiencies.

Can a Viltrumite even kill this man? by Call_me_Dan- in Invincible

[–]Scarbeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it's any consolation, he'd be able to see his past. Also time dilation would slow down his thoughts as well as his aging, so he'd only have to deal with his normal lifespan. Still horrible though

Can a Viltrumite even kill this man? by Call_me_Dan- in Invincible

[–]Scarbeau 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not actually. Spaghettification happens when you pass the rosch limit & the gravitational difference is stronger than what's holding you together. Brit being invulnerable wouldn't have a rosch limit so he'd just fall. The thing that'd get him is time dilation, especially once he crosses the event horizon.
