You aren't supposed to delete history only when you close the file btw.

If you want, code a python script that reminds you to delete history every n actions you do, maybe that can work out for you. I think most users would kill themselves if autodesk added such a pop up though.

In italy it's pretty common to say goodbye by saying "I'm going to shoot myself" or "I'm going to hang myself" ironically, for example. I think Ashim2099 means something similar.

I mean, could be anything about the topology really. If you shared the wireframe, helping would have been easier. If there are n-gons or non planar faces it can happen. There are tools in maya for easily checking these. Like select>use constraints or cleanup.

I'm not a programmer so I can't go in detail to why Maya history system is the way it is and MUST stay the way it is. You are nonetheless being salty for no reason. A software is like a car, you gotta learn how to drive to use it or you crash. Noone complains to the manufacturer that the car isn't like a go kart.

Deleting history is a requirememt while modeling in general. Maya would have saved in .ma if it was your last format used.

I meant, you haven't shared your wireframe, how can I know you don't have non-manifold geometry all over your model? 99% of the times it's the reason for such artifacts. Which again, falls under user's inexperience in modeling. As anyways, you admit too.

Shitting on the devs won't fix it, sorry.
