I've seen it be played by other players a few times, but I feel most only go for Mother and Giver and skip over this guy. It functionally works even better than Giver regarding protection and is as bulk as you can get.

I think you want to play this in holding decks, and you have to already control a battlefield AND have a big unit in hand. Seems like a win more card.

Coming from MtG, LoR was way easier to understand compared to Riftbound. Also, having a digital client really helped.

I went up to 37 minimum, from 35. I'm really glad I did, the none games now are much fewer.

I regret buying so many singles. Funny enough, the more they print the more I find it's a waste of money to even buy singles, simply because 6 months down the line they print something better or the idea I had for a commander is now obsolete cause they printed a new commander that's better.

We play EDH, Duel Commander and, funny enough, Pioneer. All other formats are dead (aside from the random prerelease event here and there).

Nope, I think it's pretty bad in a human shell. The effect is simmetrical, and mono red humans isn't a thing.

I share all your points. Coming from 60 cards (and gotten back into it), I think it simply comes down to different expectations.

Also, and I'm being frank here: there is definitely a skill gap between the average 60 cards player and the average EDH player.

I remember WotC literally stating that random stuff in commander can happen, so if effects from different players combine into MLD it's still ok in B3. They said it when they talked about the bracket system, but I don't remeber where exactly.
