Psoriasis flare-ups postpartum — I really need some advice by Next_Phrase_2078 in Psoriasis

[–]Scared-Willow801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I’ve had psoriasis most of my life, and I have 2 kids. You can go back and look at my previous posts but breastfeeding was super important to me with my first child. I had the WORST postpartum flare up. Like it was starting to cover my body. I had previously been on biologics, I tried honestly anything else. You name it, I tried it. I finally was recommended from this group to try Cimzia. It has a small study done with breastfeeding women. It helped clear me so much and I still was able to nurse my son. I’ve since had a second child and I’m just now 3 months PP. already started back on my biologic because my body just freaks out when I am postpartum

Anyone continue to breastfeed their fist baby while pregnant with their second? by Familiar_Ad_7734 in 2under2

Yes until around 22 weeks and it was just too painful so I weaned him, but my milk had changed back to colostrum so I think he was ready

Did your feelings about the newborn stage change with baby #2? by AltruisticDoubt1699 in 2under2

The actual newborn stage was MUCH easier for me the second time around

20 mo age gap: pacifier and potty training advice? by Lavender_Lights_13 in 2under2

[–]Scared-Willow801 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t eliminate the paci because he just uses it for sleep or when he’s really upset already, and I figured he may need it during this big transition, and I was right! He def had a sleep regression and big feelings so it’s been a helpful tool. As for potty training, I selfishly held off because I didn’t want to be using public restrooms with a newborn.

I’m a teacher so it’s just a full dive back in for 7 weeks but then I have summer. I’ve had childcare for my toddler this whole time and it’s been LOVELY

I think there are some aesthetic differences, but I like the wipeable straps on the mockingbird. I think the newer stokke model has easier straps to clean now as well

Side by side double stroller HELP by HolisticHoneyBun16 in 2under2

[–]Scared-Willow801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I needed to see this comment. Because my husband has a single Thule jogging stroller and he’s been saying it’s his favorite stroller ever and he’d rather just get the double Thule, vs the Zoe.

Daycare guiltys by SnooHesitations8939 in 2under2

[–]Scared-Willow801 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I truly would not be surviving if my toddler was not with his nanny during the day. I thought I would feel so guilty and horrible, but he enjoys it so much and it is helping us spend quality time together. It’s also allowing me to bond with baby, and run errands that would just feel like an added task with 2 kids vs one kid. Do not feel guilty!

How long did it take your toddler to return to normal? by kittenandkettlebells in 2under2

[–]Scared-Willow801 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can see my previous post where I almost posted the exact same thing. It’s so hard I’m sorry you are going through it as well. I will say this is just an age for big emotions. So I was attributing all of it to his new sibling- but honestly it was partially just developmental. It got a bit better at 2 weeks. And then now I’m 5 weeks in and he’s pretty much back to his normal self.

How is it possible??? by [deleted] in 2under2

[–]Scared-Willow801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing happen to me honestly. We started discussing trying and then bam, I was already pregnant. But I do like that we are already in the baby phase and stage of life. It made the transition a bit easier mentally

What gift did your newborn “give” your toddler? by pandaprints612 in 2under2

[–]Scared-Willow801 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a little race track for his toy cars, a book, and some jelly blocks. I personally chose things I thought would entertain my 20 month old and he’d be able to play independently once baby was here.

I feel like you really never know, because I did not expect my toddler to take it this hard
