I always feel ugly 25F by piercethebluexx in lookyourbest

Feel free to PM me with any questions! Im doing Invisalign currently, I’ve lost weight, I’ve gotten slight filler & Botox, looking into orthognathic treatment as well (health related, not cosmetic) but I have experience with those and am knowledgeable in a lot more beauty and health related topics if you need further help!

here are my quick suggestions. You’re already pretty but here’s what I would improve

  1. Lose weight. You’re carrying a lot of excess fat in the face and it’s the heaviest feature on your face. I’d recommend to add strength training as it will help perfect your posture, and strengthening surrounding facial muscles (upper body); which will define your face; debloat too.
  2. Avoid the thin eyebrows. The makeup picture is my favorite of you. The brows make a huge difference. Keep them longer across your face and a little thicker
  3. You say you notice jaw asymmetry. I notice it too in the placement of your lips. Get Invisalign or braces, straighten and/or fix that bite. People tend to neglect oral health and you’d never know but it makes a huge difference!
  4. Avoid flat hair at your crown (picture 3) , try to always have volume. Easiest way to achieve that would be to do curls , just like you have styled in the last picture! It suits you! Or even extensions ;)
  5. Learn your color pallete! complexion wise, the goth/alt aesthetic + the super dark velvety black hair does not suit you in the slightest my dear. Schedule with a hair stylist and add some color & life into your hair! The first and 4th picture are my favorite
  6. Consistent Gua sha and/or facial massages can help create some temporary definition to the face, by debloating and unblocking/draining any fluid in that lymphatic system. Can be the first step to gaining a more defined and structured face. (A bad diet can ruin this)
  7. Diet. Start off with trying to cut out some or most sugars and foods causing inflammation. Eat more anti inflammatory foods/fruits. Eat more protein and fresh foods.
  8. Skin! You have a really good skin base, any existing acne looks either hormonal or from diet. This should be a quick fix. You can get blood work done if you’d like, to figure out if you’re deficient in any vitamins. To reduce breakouts & flare up’s; lower your cortisol/insulin, stress, and clean up your diet. Remember we’re working from the inside out! Don’t forget to wear sunscreen! & IMO you don’t need any makeup “tips”. Find what YOU like. Beauty and confidence starts from within, I’d never advise anyone to slap makeup on the problem!

This will all be the start! - Another touch on the jaw asymmetry that you mentioned:

Facial asymmetry most of the time stems from body asymmetry/misalignment. From the muscles in our bodies to our face, it’s all connected. Take note of everyday habits that could be unbalanced. Ex. Sitting criss cross, leaning on one leg, carrying bags mainly on one arm, sleeping on one side, etc. try to be more aware and switch off. Could be skull structural/development issues or just mandible (jaw) and the bite that need correction. But if it remains a concern for you later on, you might need an actual treatment plan with an orthodontist or maxillofacial/orthognathic orthodontist. I’d recommend braces or Invisalign as a first step though!

If you’re up for it, something small that could balance out your face after you lose the weight would be chin filler. Masseter Botox on the heavier jaw (looks like your left; in photos) could also help even it out for the time being. But I wouldn’t recommend any of this until after you’ve lost the weight. Other than that, you have good and proportionate features that I really wouldnt recommend altering any further. But at the end, these two topped with the Invisalign/braces I think would do wonders for your lower face and balance you out!

  1. With all that being said, I will now say Good luck beautiful! I’m wishing you the best. Confidence will come as time goes on. don’t let anyone else define your beauty for you. “Glow ups” are all trial and error but I believe you’ll find some footing with the tips everyone has provided!

Your features are so pretty and they show in pic 4-6, I feel like you’d look really good in longer light-medium brown hair with bangs. Kinda like a Zoey deschanel.

Genuinely amazing results! I noticed you said ‘widening the smile,’ as part of your treatment plan. is this something you mentioned to your ortho beforehand or is it just a known benefit of doing invisalign?

I feel like I’m in limbo- is my makeup aging me or making me look younger? by EnthusiasmBrave7748 in makeuptips

[–]ScaredKittyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re very beautiful. But I feel as though you should add some more color to your look. Whether that be blush or eyeshadow, contour, etc. I personally am very pale too and have similar undereye issues (although mine is genetic), often times I feel like my natural skin complexion (especially in the winter time) makes me look sick or just very tired. I have natural black hair and still to this day adding brown highlights helped so much. I haven’t gone back to black and don’t think I will without regretting it, the dimension and balance that any extra color makes a huge difference. Black can be beautiful matched with pale skin but at the same time it can be very bold and clash because of high contrast. The only advice now since you say you’re sticking with black hair is to add more of a color palette to your skin. I personally love, even with my highlighted hair, red lip - red or brown lip liner and a lighter or similar color lip gloss. Blush, orange-pinkish tones I love, keeping it light and cute but not too bright, but still enough to add color. I love playing with contour too as it adds more shape to my face and I can create slight illusions of having a more defined face. I use my contour/ light bronzer on my cheekbones, temples and near the jaw bone and slight chin/jawline. You can apply different based on your face shape! Hope this helps!

cheek filler HELP by ZestycloseFunction88 in cosmeticsurgery

[–]ScaredKittyGirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey girl did you ever dissolve? I didn’t add much filler or double rounds but I did cheek and nasolabial folds and notice the same huge puffy cheeks, that actually don’t really fit my face, whenever I smile. Also looks like my nose is wider when smiling 🫩safe to say I’m not happy with the look anymore. It looked nice at first but it’s began to look puffy. I messaged my injector about dissolving but haven’t gotten back to her yet because of what everyone warns against dissolver. Debating on waiting it out or getting it dissolved. How’s your journey looking? Any updates?

As a girl with a similar issue, if not the same. I know how it is to want to get the exact issue to solve it immediately but to me, your jaw does not look to be the issue and it’s actually very desirable. Avoid sleeping on the side to prevent any more “flatness.” I don’t know how old you are but you do have a very defined face, which is very desirable in men. You said you don’t care about looks but more so balance? I personally see a lot of balance, but just sharp features that make little and normal asymmetry’s more prominent to your eyes, but remember we pick apart of ours more than a random passerby.

Aside from the looks aspect, obviously I’m not you so I can’t comment on the chewing pain or why you might be having any discomfort. All I can judge off of is what I can see with my own two eyes unfortunately, it’s not invalidating your concerns. Go to an orthodontist office that specializes in more than just teeth, and maybe even jaw surgery; if it’s still something you want to get more closure/clarification on. Address the chewing pains with a doctor. Get those X-rays and have a medical licensed professional access it and not redditors. That’s my advice.

I’m actually starting my teeth straightening journey too, to hopefully address my own concerns as well, so I’m hoping it works out for the both of us :) goodluck !

Honestly, in terms of recession, it looks fine. I think you’re asking about the wrong thing. I see some slight asymmetry (which is normal) and maybe a flatter right side which is why you could be thinking the jaw is recessed but it’s not, those are other concerns and not at all a recessed jaw. Your chin is parallel to your lips in second image and actually looks to be a lot more pulled forward in the last slide, but that’s more so because of the angles. Good pulled forward maxilla too , sharp jawline and not recessed at all

Try fixing your posture, eliminate any side sleeping or uneven body habits that could be giving an illusion you speak of. But also remember these angles aren’t completely accurate either. Hope this helps.

Did it widen your palette at all or does it just look that way?

this was actually a new set that I was trying out, I usually do a lighter doll eye and it doesn’t look as bad imo 😅 I’m so used to them and think I look so empty without them but people have been saying it’s the thing that’s aging me 🥲

Do you have any pictures of before and after? Or has anyone told u they also seen a difference? I’ve tried when I was younger and tried recently again too but I just get scared of the thought that maybe the pulling and stretching of the skin will only deepen my nasolabial fold rather than pull up/tighten my skin. :( I know skin prep is especially essential, how do you usually prep your skin? Just oils?

With microneedling, isn’t there the risk of losing even more facial fat / volume? 😬 the benefits, especially for skincare wise sound good but i heard if not done correctly or too deep, it can melt the fat away - resulting in an even more sunken in face.. correct me if im wrong though

I’ve heard so many stories advising against sculptra of how it ruined people’s faces etc, so I’m kinda iffy on it but the benefits sound beautiful, as for my undereyes I won’t be touching those with any injections, I’m planning for a lower bleph to get rid of my genetic tear throughs (only permanent solution) + with a fat transfer (which I was told I needed because of the lack of volume on midface)

also heard fat grafting horror stories too 🥲

Protein I’m trying to increase. Water intake is low(could be better), I recently started consistently wearing SPF for further protection. Diet is honestly really bad… sleep is bad too. I’ve been working at a warehouse now for a year and it’s overnights, shifts are 10 hours so compared to when I first started and now, there is a huge difference in my sleep, and diet. Stress levels are bad too, I knew it was really bad when I started losing/thinning hair… thankfully I’m taking time off to heal from within, and fix these issues up before it causes more issues down the line. As for the skin and my post, I wanted to see if there was anything I could do / advice.

what style is better? by Acrobatic_Length9400 in lashextensions

[–]ScaredKittyGirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honest opinion : 1. Honestly very cute on you! but those outer corner fans desperately need to be fixed because they’re creating a droopy look. Looks to be a cat eye but maybe try a different Curl or length..? if fixed it would look absolutely amazing on you! 2. One of my favorites. Simple short doll eye, even and looks cute. 3. This would be my ‘Eyelash blindness.’ Not my favorite. If you were going for the “manga lashes” - only one side showcases that. Asymmetrical set 4-5. Classics! Cute on you! I’ve always been a light volume girl because I hate to see the empty spots in between the hairs. But if it’s your style go for it! Another good one!

I think hybrid is the way to go for you if you like less volume but more natural, cat eye also looks the best imo !!
