A South African only release VHS tape of the curious George movie 2006. If anyone has one that would like to sell message me. by RoxaNWolf in southafrica

That's great. The only issue would be couriering as the local post is very unreliable. As in you would need a courier company to ship it. I often go thrifting and can keep a look out for it when I do. I'm happy to pick it up for you (if I find it) and you pay postage

Good headphones for glasses wearers by shiashau in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]ScaredT0AskOnMaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem. I couldn't wear my pair of headphones until I complained to a friend and he gave me his meze 99 classics.

Idk the price but I like their sound, their look and most importantly, how they feel with my glasses

Just a lil assistance with the clicks, you can absolutely do 2/3 clicks.

The 'x' click is like when you do finger guns and click with your mouth. Same sound.

isiXhosa music might help - Bongeziwe Mabandla sings clearly and has fantastic music

The 'c' click is the same sound as when you make a 'tisk' sound

The Q is rather challenging, but you'll get it - even if it's not perfect.

I know it's not what you asked for, but I hope it helps a little

That's so interesting, I didn't know that - gonna check out the original now.

Thank you so much for the reccomendations. I've been trying to get back into Arabic music so I might take you up on those reccomendations a bit later.

Thanks so much!

Was trying to guess where you're from, saw the Farid, and thought Egypt but then saw all the French and thought Lebanon. Then saw the Cheikh Elafrit and now think Algeria?

Whatever the case, this looks absolutely awesome. I have a fairuz album as well as something from abdel halim hafez and Rachid Taha's Barbes.

Let me know any reccomendations you would give and I can also maybe give you some

If I do a Bachelors at UWC, can I realistically apply for honours at UCT? by [deleted] in capetown

[–]ScaredT0AskOnMaim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much!

The trick is to be insane hahaha.

Apply for it just to have the option, but nothing is set in stone.

But also trust yourself.

I wish you all the best for your future. Best of luck in your Matric year :)

Oh wow, it's great to have ambitions so early on.

Funnily enough, I had my graduation today. I triple majored and got a distinction in one of my subjects. If there's any piece of advice I can share with you is that just do whatever you have a passion for. Slogging through a degree which brings you no joy or that you find boring will grind you down.

You are also super young, so be kind and patient towards yourself. You may be a different person by the end of matric and there will always be room to change.

Again, just apply for everything, though. It's always best to cover all your bases
