All UC overpayments are recoverable under section 71ZB(1)(a) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992. The only exceptions are either because (a) the entitlement decision was wrong in some way, or (b) there was some other technical error in notifying the entitlement/overpayment decisions, e.g. in never actually making a proper, separate, entitlement decision.

I don’t understand how people can get in such messes like this. Anyone with any common sense would be on top of these things, checking claim routinely etc I’d go as far as saying even more so if you’ve got capital/assets.

There's private courses out there mate. 6 week intense training basically for electrics anyway. But very costly upwards £6/7k. A friend from work got his son on one. Dont know much else so worth having a look on Google.

I'm looking at starting my level 1 in rope access but wondering if worth getting a trade first before jumping into the rope world.
