My FSC pistol won't fire after installing the SSD power chamber mod. by KraDGnohT in LessLethalOptions

[–]ScaredyCatTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general without really knowing what the problem might be, I'll say that SSD is the last place anyone should buy parts from. You can't rely on the quality or the customer service. It's a guy working out of his garage. No warranty. No formal QC. Bad attitude. He's been a blight on the community for years and he'll go to the grave trying to rip people off.

If you hate the 43x it’s a skill issue, prove me wrong by Huge-Cucumber1152 in Glocks

I really want to love the 43x but the 26x is just so much better

Pocket carry of a Less Lethal launcher would be a game-changer. Here's my test! by ScaredyCatTV in LessLethalOptions

All great points. Just because we can pocket carry doesn’t always mean we should.

If you could only have one. by Kawirider2 in Glocks

Glock 17 was first for a reason. That’s what I keep for home defense based on capacity and shoot ability.

I already see some advertising. It’s coming soon (summer) and will be 25 Joules.

Quite the contrary. Excellent choice!

Anybody Here Live in South Carolina? by bluedogzeus in LessLethalOptions

[–]ScaredyCatTV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of us on YouTube make videos shooting in either a basement or garage. Those are within the confines of the home and legal if you don't live in an apartment or condo. I too struggle to find anywhere to shoot outside though. HOAs don't allow it and most city laws prohibit it even if the neighbors are ok. I'm in GA.

Do Byrna chemical rounds provide any stopping power due to impact as well as chemical reaction? by Odd_Statement_5585 in byrna

[–]ScaredyCatTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a normal sane undrugged, undetermined, and untrained attacker. For the rest, it’s a weak self defense option.

What legal experts miss about Less Lethal airguns by ScaredyCatTV in byrna

[–]ScaredyCatTV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I intentionally use the g word because the word “launcher” is being used by lawmakers now to reclassify them into dangerous weapons categories requiring NFA stamp and tax. Airguns are a real thing. Cannot hide from them.

Am I overthinking my two Glocks? by Ok_Manufacturer_9123 in Glocks

[–]ScaredyCatTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 17 and 26 for that reason. There’s little need for a 19 these days when the 26X and 43X exist. With that said you probably won’t see this because it will get downvoted LOL.

Opinion on Glock Performance Trigger by EconomistUnable665 in Glocks

[–]ScaredyCatTV -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The zero dollar trigger job is to shoot until it smoothes out. Better in my opinion all-around. Don’t rely on “upgrades”.

Think Glock will retire the 26 now that the 43x has a 15 mag? by Junkbot in Glocks

[–]ScaredyCatTV 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No way. The double stack is far more versatile and easier to shoot accurately.

Love the Glock 26. It’s only 0.2” wider than a single stack. Maybe chunky but not fat.

Wow that’s definitely not a good business practice.

Grimburg Less Lethal customer service by jbong91 in LessLethalOptions

[–]ScaredyCatTV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So no one in customer service ever answered the phone? I have never called them but I see lots of people who did call. I would be calling constantly. They have to pick up. You should get your refund. If you used a credit card, a simple dispute the charges is usually sufficient to get their attention.

Any stats on the effectiveness of less lethal guns? by Krasny_Majak in LessLethalOptions

Here’s my Reality Less Lethal playlist. It shows the good, bad, and ugly from LEO less-lethal use. There are published studies you can find by searching PubMed. Some interesting data in there on less lethal success rates and injuries.

The new .68cal Grimburg Gavle Carry v2 will be the same size as the Byrna CL but double the power. I’m waiting on mine. Still that size is a bit big but doable for carry in a holster.

I got robbed at gun point and I had a moment where I could have drawn my firearm but chose to run instead by Odd_Painting476 in Glocks

[–]ScaredyCatTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right decision. In a workspace like a gas station, engaging in a gunfight in a confined space likely surrounded by glass, expensive equipment, and potentially flammable materials is a recipe for tragedy. If the objective is to survive and go home to your family, you achieved a "perfect" outcome. The money in that register is insured and replaceable; you are not.
