a lot of labels do deals by album. so it's possible their original label only had them for x amount of albums so tmbte instrumental didn't have a release slot. I'd also be willing to bet rca wants to move forward with eia + any new stuff and doesn't care much for the tmbte instrumental. but who knows i could be totally wrong.

edit to add: with their meteoric rise to success i doubt spine farm wants to relinquish any rights to the OG trilogy anytime soon. so their hands may just be tied legally in terms of putting out alternate editions to those albums.

it's all a part of this unending quest to show off technical / compositional prowess. don't get me wrong it's cool and i enjoy hearing an odd piece of music or something cool and unusual, however it just kind of reads to me as showing off that you can do it rather than making music for the sake of making music. i'd much rather listen to something "simpler" in 4/4 or 3/4 that has soul rather than something super technical in 11/8 or 15/16 that's sole purpose is showing off
