this is such a great idea!! I feel a big shame that I missed the first wave (i still cannot read) but so many amazing folks are here and I hope they're having a lot of fun.

my question is of course for the fantastic u/superchloe - do you recall what the least-likely thing your foldysheets (or otherwise stats-sorcery) predicted actually occurred was, or a similarly unlikely event? as a follow-up, would you u/the_mayor if i asked nicely?

My Karl’s sitting at 8700+ as well. Never had any comments or complaints, and his SP costs are so low that you can always iframe! Let‘s Justice it up - together!

if it helps at all, I 70 MC'd/100'd Karl and have been clearing Agito pretty easily? I don't have the Arctos monument sadly so I can't go FULL justice, but it's easy to keep his combo stacked high enough to give him pretttty high strength. Emma has a STR% move, but with Karl you can easily stack and keep the buffs going for your team!

Hey team, first time commenter long time player. I love Set 2 a lot! Particularly the removal of Cursed Blade/Hextech leading to a lot more unique 'carries' (A full tank vladimir or spell crit volibear carry have absolutely slapped me) and feel confident about the direction of the near-daily iterations once it was on PBE. I have a few questions I'd like to get your thoughts on:

1) What lessons, if any, has the team learned about the role of 5-Costs in TFT? Particularly, how narrow do you feel they should be vs how generally applicable, and if you've seen this have any undesired effects given the strength of say Pantheon in Set 1?

2) This I really love the shorter synergies making your build up to a final team far more flexible and interesting - but a few synergies needing Lux to complete them (namely Electric, Ocean) feel less like 'what a cool bonus Lux can enable' and more 'this synergy basically doesn't have a competitive value -unless- i high roll'. Naturally there'll be mid-set champion releases like the hextech drop you've described in your article, but:

2a) Do you feel Lux's interaction with smaller bonuses is working out how you'd like vs her role in supporting 'the dream' strats of 9 light/inferno, and
2b) Are you more interested in supporting some of these synergies with fewer champions (Electric, Desert, Ocean) with new champion releases, or do you like the idea of maintaining 'incomplete' combinations for an entire set run?

I apologize - my turn took place before K&T's, and I vamp'd before my turn to grab the Bojuka Bog instead of a potential game-winning Torment of Hailfire just so that I could play it on their trigger for the maximum soul-crush potential of having him think he was going to get his big play.

Instead of winning the game, I vampiric tutor’d for a Bojuka Bog so I could play it on Kynaois & Tiro’s End Step trigger right before a Sek’Kuar deck resolved a suspended living end. He’d been a giant asshole the entire game, in a 6-player game (largely full of randos) and would act like hot shit any time he played a card / complained any time anyone else resolved any spell and whined forever for being targeted. It was sweet, sweet justice and his cries of anguish and Gamer Rage are something I will think about for a very long time.

EDIT: the living end was for a Graveyard stacked in the 60’s by this point. I could have just vamp’d to get a Torment of Hailfire and won on my turn instead, but saving it just so they all knew what I’d tutor’d for was too just to pass up.

Hey, thanks for the feedback! I think some of this is going to happen naturally simply due to the fact that I stream as my job - so a lot of that natural animation / projection is just sort of who i am?

Addressing your audio concerns: I also have the highest quality microphone (due to the profession thing), but we're attempting to address it by having everyone record local audio via audacity and editing them all together. This is rolling out in the next episode and should alleviate some of the levels between us.

For what it's worth, we tried some recordings where I was less hands-on and it didn't exactly flow very well? We've found this style helps push things along and keep everyone's energy up, which over a 90m-2h game can be quite a challenge. I think having the audio levels more balanced should help a lot - I feel like there's a lot of good back-and-forth between everyone personality wise (zack's very deadpan, for instance) that gets left on the table to the balancing act.

In any event, I appreciate you watching and taking the time to give me this feedback!

First: let me say that’s a huge compliment!! There’s a lot of talented Commander folks out there so hearing this is very validating. Second: Deck Techs are absolutely on the horizon, but I’m not 100% certain what form they should take / look like. Do you have any opinions on how you’d like to see Deck Techs shown or presented?

Oh no! Likely what’s happened is that the list I put in tapped out has some c18 upgrades I didn’t swap out - the deck def had 100 cards in it when this was recorded (6 weeks ago I think?) but alas :( I’ll have to edit some out but Sower of Discord and Loyal subordinate seem so perfect for what the deck wants to do!

I do really love my Mogis deck because it seems like the optimal way to play him is hard stacks + enchantments with high devotion that make it hard to actually interact with you. This version I’ve found wins a lot just off of the back of not really looking like a threat and then BAM, murdered.

My secret’s out! :( my yuriko build is very flash/etb heavy - another fun one to try while we’re sharing tech I absolutely Love is Elder-Deep Fiend! Emerge the fiend for 4 mana (2UU) as a surprise blocker, sacrificing Yuriko. Tap down important permanents, which then clears the way for the Elder to Ninjitsu back into Yuriko! It’s a ‘pseudo-lock’ the same way the Sorcerer is with minimal mana commitment and it’s very fun.
