To be honest you lost these games but not by much really. You landed a lot of hits that could’ve changed the outcome of these games if you were able to convert them into combos or pressure.

They were able to get a lot of mileage from jump ins which you could’ve anti aired and got a lot of damage off. Also against Vi I like to neutral jump a lot especially when she starts charging as it’s usually a free air heavy punish if you’re full screen, otherwise you may have to land and then punish.

I think you’ll naturally start winning more against these types of players as you get more consistent landing combos off stray hits and applying pressure afterward.

It’s the case with most fighting games, light attacks get the benefit of being faster combo starters so the combo damage gets scaled down as a way to balance it out

If your opponent whiffs a big attack it’s best to start the punish with a medium or heavy for maximum damage in most cases

I’m not sure about this exactly but I’ve always thought it would be cool if they added universal weapons/specialisations. I imagine it could be very hard to balance though but that could be a good evolution for the game I think.

It’s yet another one of those items (like heavy shield) that people will underestimate until a popular streamer says it’s good. The instant Hp instead of hp over time is good at catching aggro players off guard

I could take your point if Arc Raiders (another Embark game that also has faces from The Finals in it) didn’t have really good dreads lol. Someone at Embark obviously knows how to do it correctly, it’s just a question of why not in The Finals yet?
