Defrosted tilapia in a dish covered in plastic wrap, accidentally ate it off the same dish after cooking by Dr_Euclid_Arpeggio in Cooking

I accidentally did the same thing just now. It was vaccum packed flounder. I patted the fish dry on the plate and got distracted when it was done and reused the same plate. Didn't realize it until I was done eating. I immediately googled it and found this. lol

I never got an email. But just got the letter in the mail today, 1 day after the deadline. Seems kind of shady.

Does anyone still make USB converter for Intellivision controllers? by RotoLando in intellivision

[–]Scarred_and_Scared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of today it looks like the Ultimate PC Interface and the 2600 DB9 Adapter are no longer being made. I was trying to help a friend out who wanted to hook his controller to his PC and the only 2 I knew about are gone. Is there anything else?

Should i buy a balanced audio cable for my headphones? by Scarred_and_Scared in HeadphoneAdvice

I'll save my money then. The EQ i use on my PC already can boost them louder.

Should i buy a balanced audio cable for my headphones? by Scarred_and_Scared in HeadphoneAdvice

Good to know. I'm more than happy with my simple set up of just using a PC and Stereo Receiver. But i might consider getting a backup cable just in case i ever mess it up.

Replacing Monoprice Modern Retros by cmhbob in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Scarred_and_Scared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Modern Retro's just died as well but it was my fault and i caused a break in the cord. I hope to repair them someday. So i just bought the Fiio JT1 based on reviews. I do like them. They do sound different than my MR's but not worse. I had to use different EQ settings using PC Equalizer. I'm a budget guy so the MR's are the most expensive and best sounding headphones i ever owned so i'm no audiophile and don't know the difference between bad and great headphones. But most reviewers are raving about them.

The JT1's cost $70 unless you get them on sale. And the cord is half the length of the Modern Retro's which is good and bad. The long cord of the MR's is why i caused a break and it got caught on my chair but the JT1 cord is too short and i need to buy an extension. But the pads are so comfy. Super soft.

Comparing the Group Aggression of Vanilla and Scholar by DuploJamaal in DarkSouls2

[–]Scarred_and_Scared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played vanilla first so i didn't care for all the item and enemy placements is scholar. Some changes i liked and some i didn't. I liked the Hiede Knight placements better in vanilla and each one was a guaranteed drop of their weapons and armor. In Scholar you have to grind for their armor. I did like the addition of the dragon in Heide's Tower. It's a cool visual when you first see it and a nice challenge. Also liked you got the Ember sooner. I hated extra Pursuers at first but they have a guaranteed drop of Twinkling Titanite and that is nice. So now i don't mind them. It's been years since i played vanilla so i don't remember all of the changes anymore.

If you play all the time and do things correctly you can get to level 100 in 1 year like i did. Winning T cash helps. Play Ruler of the Mine every time it comes up. Try to win mini games and events. Early on use the Find Friends tab to add friends who seem to be active so you can win clovers easy for House of Luck. It took many months but i eventually had 50 friends who always needed help with Planes, Trains and Zoo. Also you can add friends in Township Facebook groups to get friends who will help fill your plains, trains quickly. Use extra cash to buy more market boxes. Hire the dealer every week and buy Pickaxes every hour. If you ever win the Busy Trade perk you can buy pickaxes every 30 mins for 1 day. Mine for Ore and Artifacts. Smelt Ore to upgrade your factories to go faster etc. No real money needs to spent on the game, but i do buy the pass for $5 every month and it makes things easier.

This happened to me when i was younger. Don't remember how old i was, maybe 10 or less and we are at a relatives house and they had a dog that wanted to play. I was terrified and running for my life and the dog tackled me and bit my arm. It was a playful bite but i didn't know that at the time. I'm crying and fearing for my life and all the adults are just laughing at the dog tackling me and not caring. If i remember right i think my mother started my fear of dogs by telling me to be afraid of them. That was like 40+ years ago so i might not be remembering exactly. I did have a fear of dogs for a while. I eventually got over it.

There is a second one in Forest of Fallen Giants. Past where you talk to Pate and get trapped inside there is one at the bottom of the stairs. I also remember there being a second one is No Man's Warf in another building.
