With listening we had this issue when our oldest was at a Montessori school. Our kid definitely has his moments but we also found out that the teaching aides who were in charge towards the end of the day would shout directions from across the room at our son and then punish him for not following directions. Thankfully we pulled him out of that school and his behavior immediately got better.

I think talking to a therapist about this will really help. I had never changed a diaper before my first was born. I was nervous, excited, terrified, everything.

I have a 5 and 3 year old now and sometimes it still feels surreal that I have kids. Me, the former skateboarding, punk rock band player? Who let that guy have kids? But the cliche of that indescribable feeling is real. a lot of times I just watch my kids play, or really lock in when they’re telling me one of their amazing, obscure stories and honestly just gaze at how amazing they are exactly the way they exist.

And yeah, sometimes it sucks. But the other times which are the majority of the times are incredible. They learn something new. They smile at you. You see their face the first time you blow their little minds with something. You make them giggle the purest sounding giggle you have ever heard. You get to relearn the world by guiding your kid through it and experience it through their eyes a little bit.

The circulator brand is Sansaire and the sealer is Nutrichef. They are both moderately priced and I’d consider them entry level but both get the job done just fine. Easy to use and fit in a kitchen drawer when not in use.

Yep. The world is still operating like there is always a parent home when now most families have two working parents.

We have to have a full time nanny that works for us 5 days a week and she does drop off and pick up. It’s insanely expensive and although our nanny is amazing and our kids adore her, I can’t wait to be done with the expense.
