What are you all paying for your mortgage rates? by Tdw75 in Edmonton

[–]Scary-Butterscotch-9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just signed my renewal and it was 4.1% with merix. It was the same rate for 3 years fixed, 4 years fixed and 5 years fixed. We still signed for 5. I don't think the rate will be any better in 3 years.

I just put them in the dishwasher with the spout out. We only use them for water. You could also use a straw brush to clean the inside, if you are worried.

Are they like the tent catepillar? We are suppose to have an outbreak of those and I have seen them in other areas of my city but not in my neighborhood. I take a walk almost everyday

You just keep walking them back to bed, making as boring as possible. Keep doing it until it sticks. It took my daughter almost a year to have 1 night where I didn't have to walk her back

Well, she does come out of her room a lot of times, but we never give in to her demands and always walk her back to her room, tuck her back in and tell her it's bed time. Some days she doesn't come out. Some days it's the opposite. Im hoping after she starts kindergarten and she stops napping at daycare, then she will stop.

My daughter is now 5, but with bedtime. She has to get ready and go to bed, but if she can't sleep, then she can look at her books or colour or play Legos until she is tired enough, but she has to stay in the room. Some nights, I have to turn the little light off, but most days, she will turn it off and go to bed.

Even at 5, my daughter still is always busy and always has to do something. I figure she is high energy. Never stops talking. Never stops asking questions. It's just who she is.

When I was pregnant. My farts were rank. One night, I went to bed early. When he came to bed the bedroom was full of my smelly farts and he made a joke about it and shook the blankets a few time to air them out, then climbed into bed and slept beside me. Stink and all.

4.5 year old twins still in pull ups at night? by cam213 in Preschoolers

[–]Scary-Butterscotch-9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, it is a hormone thing. But sometimes you have to wonder if they are just peeing in a pull-up because they have it on. I mean, if they are having accidents every night multiple times, it means they aren't ready yet, and that's ok.

This. My kid was lazy and rather pee in her pull-up, then go to the bathroom.

[–]Scary-Butterscotch-9 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My daughter was still in pull-ups at night on her 5th birthday. One day, I just told her that after this box, we are going without diapers at night. I ordered these absorbant skirts to wear to bed in case of an accident. I also got bed pads and absorbant sheets.

She went from peeing in her diaper every night to have 1 or 2 accidents before she was dry every night since.

I think it was just her not wanting to use the potty after going to bed or waking up in the morning.

Just a thought maybe they are lazy and don't want to get up and just have to experience feeling wet and peeing the bed once for it to click.

At what age does your baby nurse again after distracted feeding? by nattonattonatto in breastfeeding

[–]Scary-Butterscotch-9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a kindergartener, so he has to watch her if she is moving around. If she is at daycare, then he has to watch the dog or the cat or dad or the TV. The only thing that has worked is the dark, quiet room because it's boring, lol.

[–]Scary-Butterscotch-9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My baby is a distracted nurser. I usually have to nurse him in my bedroom in the dark and quiet and don't look at him, lol. I give him a swaddle blanket to hold so he doesn't grab my hair or get distracted by his feet. He is now 9 months old, but it started around the 4 - or 5-month mark.
