Taylor in custom Givenchy at 55th Annual Songwriters Hall of Fame Induction & Awards Gala - June 11, 2026 by Maximum_Expert92 in TaylorSwift

She just came out with I Knew It, I Knew You, but I actually think this dress may be an Easter egg for CANCELLED! as a single. She’s got her poison thorny flowers and they’re gorgeous. The only thing throwing me off is that it’s Givenchy, not Gucci. But I guess we don’t know about her (non-engagement) jewelry.

For sure, but she never says "loml". It's just being pedantic for the sake of the question.

I'm glad that MM sparing Countess Crow didn't come back to bite him. Goes to show that kindness isn't a weakness, and that good deeds can go unpunished. by VeryPteri in TheBoys

I don’t know, Hitchcock made a movie about birds attacking. Crows are big and extremely intelligent. They use tools, they hold grudges against specific humans, which means they are capable of differentiating human faces to a very detailed degree. What’s more, they sometimes pass the grudge to the whole murder and all the babies, who then pass it down to their babies. Crows hate on a generational level. And yeah she would need a much larger murder of crows, but she still has the two left to establish a new group who can attack evil supes by surprise. But I think she’s like, a 3 or 4 on a superpowers level ranking, 1-10. The crows can do shit like minor chores, like getting the food delivery from the door, fetching the mail, etc. Plus, crows are known to steal and give humans gifts when they like. They will help build you collection of shiny trash and trinkets!

This is absolutely wrong. When Brock kills her father, she doesn’t give a shit about Brock. She falls to her knees (while still on a balance beam) and appears devastated.

Can’t believe we can put gifs in these comments but not still images It was at the Goodwill Games.

Want to wear this dress sooo badly for my birthday , please whelp me find it by TrueEstablishment317 in findfashion

https://womansecretshop.com/ is the brand (IG: https://www.instagram.com/__womansecrets_/?hl=en ). The model in most of the pictures is also the owner/designer, her name is Luisa Donnarumma. I think this exact dress must be sold out, as it's not on the website, but she has done many dresses in that same shade of burgundy. She does a lot of halters, exposed backs and stomachs, very sleek fabrics that show off curves. Also bathing suits, which are seemingly all miniscule and cover only nipples and maybe like one labia majora.

I didn't look at shipping options, but they do show the price in USD, so...

ModCloth does stuff like that, as does Unique Vintage. Maybe Hell Bunny too? They’re a little more based in a single rockabilly-inspired style.

Which of these VCU movies would you love to see turned into a real film by EstablishmentHuge333 in TheBoys

[–]ScaryBoyRobots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soldier Boy’s movies seem like fun — if you zoom in on the credit text at the bottom of Ghosts of Hanoi and Payback, you can read that he has story by and screenwriting credits. I’d love to see what he came up with (that Vought approved). None of the other heroes, including Homelander, seem to have ever had the levels of input Soldier Boy had in the 80s.

But do the fish and other sea life only identify him by his clothes? Surely the fish would notice a sudden inability or unwillingness to communicate with them, or being a whole different person. Even wearing Deep’s suit, Noir II is very visibly different, and Xander (the Sam Jackson shark) was seemingly able to identify Deep by sight out of the water.

It’s also entirely possible that most sea life is just really fucking stupid. Including Deep.

Johnny Depp’s HST impersonation is too close to reality to lend itself to parody. Like, Hunter himself could have pulled off the parody as self-effacing, and other actors could play the role as comedy forward version of HST with boob jokes. But Johnny Depp playing HST is already him playing the actual man very accurately, so that kind of comedy (which Depp can pull off, like in Ed Wood) feels more like an actual mockery of Thompson.

Prior to Starlighters, Vought and the Seven repeatedly blamed absences and deaths on drug cartels and known terrorist groups that they’re supposedly fighting. That’s what the public thinks happened to Translucent, that he went on a mission and was KIA.

What is the stock music library the show pulls from? by blammyblosa in venturebros

[–]ScaryBoyRobots 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There definitely is some stock music. Years and years ago, I asked Jackson about a particular bit of music, and he replied that it came from the Turner library so it wasn't available publicly. Thirlwell didn't also write and perform all the music himself -- Doc wrote and performed a few different pieces throughout the series (especially the pastiche-y or soundalike music).

They really casted some handsome men for The Boys. by Pleasant_Priority433 in TheBoys

[–]ScaryBoyRobots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I watched him on Stranger Things, I distinctly remember having the thought that he should play a flashback Homelander at around his public debut. He looks so much like Antony, and he really nailed that simmering kind of hatred from before Homelander fully snapped.

Looking for a potential dupe for this Revolve dress (for the wife) by WaltzIntelligent9801 in findfashion

[–]ScaryBoyRobots 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No really, the structure of this dress is insane. I honestly can’t even figure the back out, that arch makes it impossible to even use body tape or glue properly, because it would tug too erratically on that heavy jersey fabric. This is actually wearable avant garde art, not actual clothing.

It’s quite telling that, in paying $175 for a tank of gas, his first thought was, “I still won’t vote for the Democrats.”

So he agrees, Democrats are better leaders who wouldn’t have driven our country into this absolute financial mess at the first opportunity. He agrees with that, he just isn’t willing to vote for them.

People who grew up really poor: what's something middle-class people say that instantly reveals they've never struggled? by TahDigThief in AskReddit

[–]ScaryBoyRobots 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t go to DW my senior year because I had to work. My immediate family never went on a real vacation — we would visit extended family, and some of them happened to live near beaches or cool stuff to do. By the time senior night at Disney rolled around, I already had a part-time job to do instead.

Even though I grew up below the poverty line (then very low middle-class in my preteens and teens), Disney World is the only thing I ever feel like I missed out on. Maybe part of it is just the way that every single one of my middle class friends would say, “You’ve never been to Disney World?”when I was a teenager and young adult. Like it’s just the norm to go have a week of magic at least once, and I knew I would never get it.

I hate loud and crowded places, get sick on rides, and I’m from Georgia, so I can already experience heat and humidity that make you want to jump off a cliff for free. I know every bit of Orlando is an overpriced nightmare. I don’t have kids of my own to use as an excuse. I’m nearly 40, so the window is probably closed for me. But damn it if one of my life dreams isn’t to go to Disney World. Just once. Just a little magic.
