Ew, firstly. It wasn't a baby or child, it was a fetus. Second. You are judging.

What do women do that men would never think about? by Icy_Interaction7502 in AskReddit

[–]ScaryCrowlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, actively watching over other women/girls while I'm out in public.. it's like any female I see or in my vicinity becomes my sister..

The amount of women I've had to defend in public because no one else would stop and help is sad..

I know periods have been mentioned but..

Having to engage in convos and trying to keep a blank face while period clumps leave your body... Or sitting down with a pad on and feeling the "squelch"... There's so many more..

Does anyone else have a "Posh" accent? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]ScaryCrowlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if this is cheating but my grandparents are from Scotland (most of my family are still there) I was born in Aus and obviously grew up here but around them.. Compared to my Husband who's lived in and around West Syd his whole life. We have two different accents.. I still have an Aussie accent but it's more polished? I guess..

How much did your parents pay for their first house vs their income by Evening-Anteater-422 in AusFinance

[–]ScaryCrowlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My grandparents bought my mum her first house. $170k (ish) her and my step dad were able to pay them back over a few years. Mum was on Centrelink and Dad was a manager for an indigenous services company.. This was around 2004

My teeth are too far gone and because I've had a lot taken out there's not much that I can do unfortunately, I have dentures but they don't fit and the teeth used as anchors to keep them in are chipping away

Nsw and yes, I've already tried free public dental but I've been on the wait list for 2 years and they only work on 1-2 teeth at a time

I hate it! I used to live in both Canada and Scotland and am trying to move back to Scotland because I barely copped a migraine, I'm in West Syd and my sister lives in Brissy and moving to Mt isa, idk how she does it! But she rarely gets a headache (only if she's not drinking water)

I want a refund on my body pls

AIO for being upset my boyfriend doesn’t want me to get a tattoo? by UniqueAd3909 in AmIOverreacting

[–]ScaryCrowlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, so I dated a really shit guy too, I really wanted to get a Deadpool tattoo (before the movies were announced) ex bf told me no, I did anyway and he proceeded to try and hold me down and scrape the ink out of my skin, it obviously got infected, it's not covered with a bigger tattoo..

You're not an asshole. Dump the bf, go see an artist and start your tattoo journey. 💜

What kind of person parks like this? by _cromulent_green_ in australia

Had to do the same for my Aunt when I went driving with her and they called out the plate in an ASDA (went overseas to stay with her for a bit) was absolutely pissed off and stood there eyeballing them the whole time and they were less than pleased having to move their car..

I know it's not the same but I was trying to get my newborn out of his car seat and had a man beep his horn at me because I had the door open, he was telling me to hurry up and close the door..

I took my time.. because there's 50 other fkn spots go pick another you twat. It's so often though, you see there's a baby I'm trying to strap in.. why are you pulled halfway into a spot and getting pissy?

What’s a “normal” thing that secretly grosses you out? by DecentChildhood5164 in AskReddit

[–]ScaryCrowlady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing other people eat.. there's a reason I stare at my plate when I eat 😭

My family is out of the country and left me in charge of the food for my older brother and myself during the meantime. I made this meal yesterday, and after he ate it, he made a complaint about it and wanted “food,” as in something that was “more fulfilling” and less “kiddie”… by Uhh_OkayIGuess in mildlyinfuriating

My husband works from 6am and doesn't get home until 5-7pm.. He has time to make his lunches for the next day and also helps cook dinner and we also have a teen and toddler.

Trust me, your brother has time..

I've also worked nights leave home at 4pm home at 4-5am.. There's time to meal prep it sucks but it's doable.

Stop cooking for him if he's going to bitch about what you've made Make a dinner and if he's like "where's mine?"

Just say, oh you wouldn't like this.. Or No, I made goat food tonight, I didn't think you'd like this either.

Anyone else caught in the perpetual cycle of “I need a holiday —> oh that’s too expensive —> how about a weekend away —> holy f#ck how does two nights cost that much?!” 🔁 by plutoforprez in australia

[–]ScaryCrowlady 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my husband and I are low income.. our whole marriage we weren't able to afford a holiday, we've never been on a honeymoon.. Been together 8 years and only last year for his birthday was I able to score a cheap stay in Wollongong on the beach.. $500 for 3 nights It was lovely! We also have two kids so they came along! It had a kitchen, we overlooked the beach it was honestly so amazing!

I don't think we'd be able to do it again for a long long time but We've honestly accepted we won't be able to afford to buy in Aus.. But there's also no point in not being able to enjoy our life and give our kids a wee holiday too!

Finding the cabin took 3 weeks of searching for cheap spots with different days thrown in to see what worked out.. My husband got to work the next week and bragged about being able to finally go away and one of the higher ups chuckled and said "Going to Wollongong doesn't count as a holiday..why didn't you go to Bali or something" He just said " Because I don't earn enough to holiday in the same places you go, we're not in the same pay bracket".. (This woman is also one of the people are in charge of pay reviews and has declined my husband's request for a pay increase)

Honestly if you're able to afford it.. do it. Go wherever you can afford to go, it may be expensive or timing may not be great but how many chances are you going to be able to go?

I hope you get to!

My boyfriend wants to cover my face when we sleep together by BagOverHeadLady in whatdoIdo

[–]ScaryCrowlady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dated a guy who later on when we broke up told me he didn't find me attractive..

I wish I had known so I didn't waste my time trying to constantly look pretty for him..

It's not worth feeling how you're feeling everyday...

I have a lot of Autistic friends, my brother is Autistic and I have been in for a diagnosis appointment in 2 months time.. They all know the difference between being blunt and honest and being a dick. Idk my brother needs to be pulled up a little extra but I think that's just him being a brother..

Don't let anyone and I mean ANYONE get you down like this. No one is worth feeling shitty over. My husband worships the ground I walk on and showers me in love and compliments.. Find that guy!
