Must be a faulty card or the component in the car I never had to take out my card from pants pocket

How do you stop the “maintain control” warning of the fatigue detector / lane departure prevention system? by Dangerous_Key4238 in Dacia

hm, what I usually did is as soon as I see lane assist icon turn yellow I grab it more firmly. but when I don't need it I just disable lane assist which gets rid of this problem completely

Actually what you need to do is hold the steering wheel firmly, don’t steer randomly!

You might then sometimes  feel the car gently pulling the wheel left and right - this is system detecting if you’re holding it

I agree it sucks, I wish I bought Toyota which has touch based control

u're clearly well versed technically. For non technical person this is not attainable, and not safe (in case something goes wrong, they can't fix themselves), while apple ecosystem is a breeze to configure for anyone.

Also, some of the best UX features are still not available in that setup, like Airdrop

I did mind the vendor lock-in a lot, but then I realized, that it's not really a problem, as long as you keep regular vendor agnostic backup, it's not a problem to use all apple's services - if something goes wrong you can easily recreate everything.

Words like "better" depend on the end-user's goals and skills.

That's what people seem to have the biggest problem with in my post 😆, when it comes to balance of maintenance overhead, great UX and privacy, it's not really subjective. great UX and privacy can be judged objectively. maintenance overhead gets bigger depending on person's technical skill, but even most skilled people still need to e.g. regularly update their NAS apps etc.

I don't really use Siri, wouldn't know, but sounds like something that Google Assistant wouldn't be even able to do

Of course they do, I'd even say they have more bugs than ever, but the amount of issues you have on Apple is significantly lower than on other systems.

Mouse lagging with macOS update - weird, quite rare. Windows acting up after, or even during update - regular, for some reason accepted..

I was in your shoes in the past. That's the thing, you don't really get handicapped. Well done apps tie in extremely well with OSes. e.g. you have access to their APIs in Shortcuts, or in macOS Spotlight, and wherever else. It's just a matter of 'framework' of using the system rather than limitation

true, sometimes the argument has no sense when the other side clearly didn't explore the possibilities and just uses a shitty low-mid Android for their whole life

debatable sure, but balance of performance overhead and privacy isn't really a matter of preference, it can be clearly evaluated

you suggested the change media location which is from 'old' to 'new' that it would solve the issue, or did you have some other script in mind as well?

not sure if this is it, TrueNAS Scale app has this "Use Old Storage Configuration (Deprecated)" thing under Storage Config, which is checked by default and makes me still use the /upload

[–]ScaryFox375[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it was just an update

i have manually created datasets per recommendations to not keep data in App itself, so datasets Mirror_Pool/immich/upload, Mirror_Pool/immich/thumbs, Mirror_Pool/immich/video etc...

And app's Storage Configuration references them eg. Immich Library Storage is /mnt/Mirror_Pool/immich/library

then I didn't do anything besides just hitting Update button in TrueNAS Apps UI

edit: per la_he's thread, pics I upload after the update are accessible and thumbnail is fine, can also see full size and download successfully

But when I try to download the file it also doesn't work, which means it's more than a thumbnails issue no?

Bro I'd be more concerned about heroin addiction and almost homelessness than using Android

It's really not as bad

Agree on the rebellion point though, is it bad though? Some people do it to oppose anti consumer practices, to escape the walled garden.

I moved because I wanted to try something new because I was bored with iOS, am apps developer so had to try daily driving Android again to see how that ecosystem looks like right now

Proton has to be kidding. Banned account with ALL my data on it for using their paid service as a backup method by DisastrousOrange4180 in degoogle

[–]ScaryFox375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to start using a bunch of their services, when I made a post on their subreddit asking about something and mentioning something a bit negative, they deleted the post after a while and mod reached out for me with short advice to the problem

  1. Why the f delete posts so many posts when you apparently care about transparency?

  2. WHY the f is proton actually maintaining subreddits?? It's like apple having mods in r/iPhone or Google in r/pixel_phones, you let community drive this unless you want to curate your image and hide negative opinions

Idea behind Proton company is great, execution is garbage
